PRMS (Planning, Reporting & Management System) is the unified web platform for the OneCGIAR portfolio. It gives Initiative and Center staff a structured way to capture typed research results, align them to Theory of Change outcomes, collect evidence, and move them through a quality assurance workflow before submission — all within a single reporting cycle.Documentation Index

Who uses PRMS?
PRMS serves four primary personas, each with a distinct role in the reporting cycle:Result Submitters
Initiative and Center staff who create results, attach evidence, align Theory of Change, and fix QA feedback
QA Reviewers
Reviewers who assess submissions, add structured comments by field, and advance or return results
PMU / Portfolio Leads
Portfolio managers who oversee IPSR pathways, run Type-One Reports, and edit global narratives
Platform Admins
Administrators who manage roles, phases, CLARISA syncs, parameters, and data recovery
Core capabilities
Capture typed results
Create results across all CGIAR result types — knowledge products, capacity sharing, innovation development and use, IPSR innovation packages, policy change, and others — each with a structured set of common and type-specific fields.
Align to Theory of Change
Link each result to one or more Theory of Change outcomes sourced from external ToC services, providing traceability from output to impact pathway.
Quality assurance review
Structured QA workflow moves results from Editing → Quality Assessed → Submitted. Reviewers can comment on individual fields; submitters resolve feedback and re-submit.
