Only use the official invite link from inv.wtf/fire to avoid scam bots. Fire will never ask for your password or personal information.

First Steps After Inviting

Configuring Permissions

Fire respects Discord’s permission hierarchy. Here’s how Fire determines who can use commands:
1

Role Position Hierarchy

Fire can only moderate members with roles lower than Fire’s highest role. Move Fire’s role higher in your server’s role list:
  1. Go to Server SettingsRoles
  2. Drag Fire’s role above roles you want Fire to moderate
  3. Keep Fire’s role below admin/moderator roles for safety
2

Channel Permissions

Ensure Fire can see and interact with channels:
  • View Channel - Required in all channels Fire should work in
  • Send Messages - Required to respond to commands
  • Manage Messages - Required for moderation features
  • Embed Links - Required for rich responses
3

Configure Command Permissions (Optional)

Use Discord’s built-in command permissions to restrict who can use specific slash commands:
  1. Go to Server SettingsIntegrations
  2. Click on Fire
  3. Configure command permissions for roles/channels
Fire cannot moderate server owners or members with roles higher than or equal to Fire’s role. This is a Discord API limitation.

Next Steps

Now that Fire is set up, you can configure advanced features:

Moderation Setup

Set up logging, auto-moderation, and moderation workflows

Troubleshooting

  1. Verify Fire is online (green status in member list)
  2. Check that Fire has Send Messages and Use Slash Commands permissions
  3. Try using slash commands by typing / instead of a prefix
  4. Check the status page for outages
  1. Ensure Fire’s role is higher than the member’s highest role
  2. Fire cannot moderate server owners
  3. Fire needs Ban Members, Kick Members, or Moderate Members permissions
  4. The member executing the command must also be able to moderate the target
  1. Check that Fire has the required permissions for that command
  2. Verify you have moderator permissions (or are in the moderators list)
  3. Use /moderators list to see who can use moderation commands
Fire may leave servers that:
  • Violate Discord’s Terms of Service
  • Are inactive for extended periods
  • Have banned Fire’s developers
If you believe this was an error, join the support server.
