Barbers on EdgeTimer are pre-configured by the barbershop administrator — there is no self-registration flow for the barber role. When your account is ready, you will receive your login credentials (email and password) directly from your barbershop. This guide covers everything from your first login to managing your daily schedule.
1

Get your login credentials from the barbershop

Your barbershop administrator creates your barber account and provides you with:
  • Your registered email address
  • Your initial password
If you have not received your credentials, contact your barbershop administrator. Barbers cannot self-register through the app.
2

Choose the Barbero role

Open the EdgeTimer app. On the role selection screen, tap Barbero. This routes you to the barber login screen and ensures the app loads your barber profile and home experience after signing in.Enter your email and password, then tap Iniciar Sesión.
If you accidentally log in under the wrong role, the server will reject the request with a role mismatch error. Go back to the role screen using the “Volver a roles” link and select Barbero before trying again.
3

Open slots for availability

On the Home screen, tap Abrir nuevo horario (the primary action button). A modal opens with two required fields:
FieldDescription
fechaThe date you want to make available (YYYY-MM-DD format)
horaInicioThe start time of the slot (select from the hour picker, up to 17:45)
Tap Guardar to publish the slot. It immediately becomes visible to clients in the Horarios disponibles section of their Home screen. The final appointment duration is determined later when a client selects procedures during booking.
Open slots in advance to give clients time to reserve them. You can open multiple slots for the same day with different start times.
4

Manage incoming appointment requests

The barber Home screen displays all pending client requests under Solicitudes de citas. Each card shows the client’s name, selected procedures, total cost, and the requested date and time. For each request, you can:
  • Tap Aceptar to confirm the appointment — the client will see it move to their Proximas tab
  • Tap Rechazar to decline — the client will see the updated status in their Solicitadas tab
Only appointments with pendiente status appear on the Home requests section. Accepted and past appointments are managed through the Agenda.
5

View your schedule in Agenda

Open the Agenda tab to see your full schedule. The Agenda is organized into tabs:
  • Proximas — confirmed upcoming appointments with client names, procedures, and times
  • Solicitudes — pending requests you have not yet acted on, as well as rejected and cancelled ones
  • Pasadas — completed appointments and any ratings clients have left
  • Calendario — a monthly calendar view that highlights days with open slots and booked appointments
From the Agenda you can also accept or decline pending requests, and reschedule or cancel confirmed appointments at least one day in advance.
