Taking a Quiz

Quiz Interface

The quiz experience combines voice conversation with structured questions:
  1. Start the quiz from your quiz list or after creating one
  2. Voice call begins with the historical figure
  3. Questions are asked by the figure during the conversation
  4. You respond naturally through voice
  5. Conversation flows based on your answers
  6. Feedback is generated when you end the call
Quizzes use the same voice conversation technology as regular calls, but with a structured question flow to assess your knowledge.

During the Quiz

As you take the quiz:
  • Natural conversation: Questions are asked conversationally, not robotically
  • Follow-up dialogue: The figure may ask clarifying questions
  • Historical context: Answers are given in the figure’s authentic voice
  • Live transcript: See the conversation in real-time
  • No time limit: Take as long as you need to answer

AI Feedback System

The most powerful feature of interactive quizzes is the comprehensive AI feedback:

Automatic Feedback Generation

When you end a quiz conversation:
  1. Feedback button appears (or triggers automatically)
  2. Processing begins: AI analyzes the full conversation transcript
  3. Evaluation completes: Usually takes 10-15 seconds
  4. Redirect to Analytics: View your detailed feedback
Feedback generation uses GPT-4-turbo-preview for thorough, nuanced analysis of your responses.

Creating Effective Quizzes

Question Design Tips

Design questions that require explanation, not just yes/no:✅ Good: “Can you explain the significance of your theory of relativity?”❌ Poor: “Did you discover the theory of relativity?”
Ask about concepts, not just facts:✅ Good: “How did your background influence your philosophical views?”❌ Poor: “What year were you born?”
Include both overview questions and deep dives:
  • 2-3 broad questions about their life and impact
  • 2-3 specific questions about notable works
  • 1-2 analytical questions connecting ideas
Write as if you’re talking to the figure:✅ Good: “What inspired you to paint The Starry Night?”❌ Poor: “Describe the inspiration behind The Starry Night painting by Vincent van Gogh.”
