Nebula includes an optional account-linking flow that connects your Among Us game account to the launcher. This is entirely separate from the Nebula account you use to sign into the launcher itself — you can run mods in offline or local-play modes without ever completing this step. Linking is only needed if you want online features that depend on a game-side identity, such as connecting to Among Us lobbies through the supported Android online flow. The Android version of Among Us uses a game-side identity — tied to an Epic Games or platform account — to authenticate players for online lobbies and matchmaking. When you launch the game through Nebula, that identity still needs to be present for online features to work. Linking supplies FusionCore and the game with the required account information for the supported online flow. Without a linked account:
  • Mods load and work normally.
  • Local and LAN play are unaffected.
  • Online features that require a game-side identity, such as joining or hosting public lobbies, may not function correctly.
1

Open Settings in Nebula

From the Nebula home screen, tap Settings.
2

Follow the in-app instructions

Nebula displays step-by-step instructions for completing the account link. The flow guides you through authenticating with your Among Us (Epic Games) account.
3

Paste the returned link into Nebula

After authenticating externally, a link or token is returned. Copy it and paste it into the field Nebula shows when requested. Nebula stores the link securely for use during future launches.

Two accounts explained

It is easy to confuse the Nebula launcher login with the Among Us account link because both involve authentication. They serve completely different purposes:
PropertyDetail
PurposeSigns you into the Nebula Launcher
Required?Yes — needed to use the launcher, mod store, and runtime services
Managed byNebula account system (api.nebulaau.space)
When usedEvery time the launcher starts; also when browsing the mod store or downloading packages
Session limitUp to 3 devices per account
Treat account links and tokens as private information. Do not paste them into GitHub issues, Discord messages, public screenshots, or log files that you share with others. If you believe a token has been exposed, re-link your account immediately to generate a fresh one.

Re-linking when tokens expire

Account link tokens are not permanent. If online play stops working — lobbies fail to connect, or the game reports an authentication error — the most likely cause is an expired token. To fix it:
1

Open Settings in Nebula

From the Nebula home screen, tap Settings.
2

Follow the linking instructions again

Complete the same in-app linking flow you used the first time. Nebula replaces the stored token with the new one automatically.
3

Launch and test

Press Launch from the Nebula home screen and verify that online features work as expected.
If re-linking does not resolve the issue, confirm that you are running the supported version of Among Us and check whether the specific mod or online feature has any known compatibility notes.
