Open Tarteel is designed to provide an optimal Quran audio streaming experience with an intuitive interface and powerful controls. This guide will help you get started with the app’s core features.

Getting Started

Browse Reciters

Open the app to view the reciter list. You can:
  • Search for reciters by name
  • Filter by Riwaya (recitation style)
  • Sort by popularity, alphabetically, or by views
  • Mark your favorite reciters for quick access

Select a Reciter

Click on any reciter card to select them. The audio player will initialize with their recitations.

Control Playback

Use the audio player controls at the bottom to:
  • Play/pause the current recitation
  • Skip to next or previous track
  • Adjust volume
  • Access additional features

Main Interface

Reciter Selection

The main screen displays available reciters with their names and images. You can:
  • Search: Use the search bar at the top to quickly find reciters
  • Filter by Riwaya: Select different recitation styles (Hafs, Warsh, etc.) or view all
  • Sort Options: Choose from alphabetical, popularity, or views sorting
  • Favorites: Star your favorite reciters to access them quickly
Your favorite reciters, selected Riwaya, and sort preferences are saved locally and will persist across sessions.

Audio Player

The audio player is located at the bottom of the screen and provides comprehensive playback controls:
  • Play/Pause: Control audio playback
  • Previous/Next: Navigate between tracks
  • Volume Control: Adjust audio volume with a vertical slider
  • Progress Bar: See current playback position and seek to different positions
Click on the volume icon to reveal a vertical slider for precise volume adjustment.
Open Tarteel supports keyboard navigation for efficient control:
  • Use Arrow Down to move to the next reciter in the list
  • Use Arrow Up to move to the previous reciter
  • Press Escape to return focus to the search bar
Keyboard navigation automatically scrolls the focused item into view for better visibility.

Responsive Design

The app adapts to different screen sizes:
  • Mobile: Compact controls with a “More” menu for additional options
  • Tablet/Desktop: Full control bar with all options visible
On mobile devices, tap the three dots (⋯) button to access additional features like fullscreen, visualizer, playback speed, and sleep timer.

State Persistence

Open Tarteel saves your preferences locally:
  • Selected reciter
  • Current playback position
  • Volume level
  • Playback speed
  • Playback mode (shuffle/repeat)
  • Language preference
  • Visualizer visibility
  • Favorite reciters
