All Four Categories
Developer & Systems
13 themes. Clean, technical, and workspace-inspired designs. Aesthetics range from classified intelligence files and operating-system interfaces to logbook records and command-center dashboards. Best for developers who want a focused, professional, and unmistakably technical identity.
Retro & Gaming
22 themes. The largest category in the gallery. Draws from 1990s personal homepages, Y2K browser chrome, Neocities-era windowed layouts, vintage Windows desktops (98, XP), and arcade game interfaces. Best for developers who want to lead with personality and nostalgia.
Space & Creative
11 themes. Cosmic starfields, aurora gradients, playful editorial color, and retro-futuristic space exploration aesthetics. The most visually diverse category, ranging from dark observatory-style portfolios to bright, cheerful multicolor designs. Best for creative developers and designers.
Spooky & Magical
19 themes. Dark, enchanted, and occult-inspired designs spanning witchcraft, alchemy, haunted houses, card reading, and moonlit botanical aesthetics. Best for developers who want a bold, atmospheric, and character-driven portfolio.

How Themes Are Organized in the Gallery
On the ThemeBulletin gallery homepage, the category overview board presents one sticky note per category. Each note shows the category name and the total number of themes it contains. Clicking a category note opens that category’s theme board, where individual themes are displayed as polaroid photo cards paired with sticky notes, paginated 16 themes per board.The Retro & Gaming category is the only category that currently spans more than one board (22 themes across 2 boards of 16). All other categories fit on a single board.
