Beaver Themer is a powerful add-on that extends Beaver Builder to create theme layout templates for headers, footers, single posts, archive pages, and more. This section will help you get started with Beaver Themer.

What can you build?

Beaver Themer lets you use Beaver Builder to create layouts for the areas of a page or post that are normally controlled by the theme, plus a couple other layouts that you can’t create directly in WordPress. This includes the following areas:
  • Headers and footers - Replace your theme’s header and footer with custom designs
  • Post layouts - Design templates for post title, post info, featured image, comments, sidebar, and more (everything except the post content area)
  • Archive pages - Create custom layouts for index and archive pages that list blog posts by date, categories, tags, authors, etc.
  • 404 pages - Design custom error pages
  • Parts - Insert custom layouts into specific locations like before the header, after the header, before the content, etc.

Theme compatibility

Most themes natively support Singular, Archive, and 404 layouts without any additional setup. However, using Header, Footer, and Part layouts requires a theme that allows these elements to be removed via hooks. If your theme doesn’t support Beaver Themer out of the box, you may be able to add support manually. See the developer documentation for more information.
