Welcome to Botnadzor

Botnadzor is a browser extension that highlights fake accounts and bots on VK.com and VK-related sites. This guide will help you get started with the extension and verify it’s working correctly.

Installation

Botnadzor is available for Chrome and Firefox browsers:
Version 2.x is currently in beta. Stable version 1.x is available in browser stores, while beta releases can be found on GitHub Releases.

Install the Extension

Click the install link for your browser and follow the installation prompts. The extension will be added to your browser automatically.

Visit VK.com

Navigate to any VK page:

Look for Highlighted Accounts

The extension automatically highlights suspicious accounts and bots with colored indicators. You should see visual markers next to usernames that have been identified as bots or suspicious accounts.

Open the Extension Popup

Click the Botnadzor icon in your browser toolbar to access:
  • Extension settings and configuration
  • Statistics about detected accounts
  • Announcements and updates

Verifying the Extension is Working

To confirm Botnadzor is active and functioning:
  1. Check the Extension Icon: The Botnadzor icon should appear in your browser’s extension toolbar
  2. Visit a VK Page: Navigate to any VK profile, post, or comments section
  3. Look for Visual Indicators: Colored highlights or markers should appear next to accounts identified in the Botnadzor database
  4. Open the Popup Menu: Click the extension icon to see statistics and settings
If you see colored highlights on VK accounts and can open the popup menu, the extension is working correctly!

Basic Usage on VK Pages

Once installed, Botnadzor works automatically on VK pages:

Account Highlighting

The extension highlights different types of accounts with color-coded indicators:
  • Account Categories: Different colors represent different types of suspicious or bot accounts
  • Regional Tags: Accounts are tagged by their regional affiliation
  • Subcategories: Specific classification of account types

Additional Features

  • Registration Date: View the VK registration date for accounts
  • Inspector Tool: Examine suspicious account activity using the built-in inspector
  • Bot Card Insertion: Quickly insert bot information cards when replying to comments
  • Report Accounts: Submit suspicious accounts for review by Botnadzor administrators

Interacting with Marked Accounts

When you encounter a highlighted account:
  1. Hover over or click the visual indicator to see more details
  2. Use the inspector tool to examine the account’s activity patterns
  3. Report new suspicious accounts directly through the extension interface
