The Tools page includes two cards dedicated to helping you connect with people and resources outside of Courseplan: Contact Your Advisors and Useful Links. Together they surface the advisor contact information and Cornell web resources most relevant to your declared college, major, and minor without requiring you to search for them elsewhere.

Contact Your Advisors

The Contact Your Advisors card lists the academic advisors assigned to you based on the college, major(s), and minor(s) you entered during onboarding. Each advisor appears as a row in a table with three columns:
  • Type — whether the advisor is a college, major, or minor advisor.
  • Name — the advisor’s full name.
  • Email — a clickable mailto link that opens your default email client so you can reach out directly.
If Courseplan does not have advisor data for your program, or if you have not yet completed onboarding, the card displays “Sorry, you don’t have an advisor yet.” Advisor assignments are determined by your college and declared programs. If you declare multiple majors or minors, a separate row appears for each program that has advisor data available.
Advisor contact details in Courseplan are sourced from program data at the time the application was last updated. Always verify your advisor’s current name, email address, and office hours directly with your department or through the Cornell directory before reaching out.
The Useful Links card provides quick access to five Cornell web resources that are commonly needed when planning your courses:
LinkURL
Student Centerstudentcenter.cornell.edu
Schedulerclasses.cornell.edu/scheduler
Class Rosterclasses.cornell.edu/browse
Academic Calendarregistrar.cornell.edu/academic-calendar
Cornell DTIcornelldti.org
Each entry opens in a new browser tab. Use Student Center to manage enrollment and view your official academic record. Use Scheduler and Class Roster to browse available sections and build a semester schedule. Use Academic Calendar to look up enrollment deadlines, add/drop dates, and exam periods. Cornell DTI links to the team that built and maintains Courseplan.
