Badges are visual markers on your FlagForge profile that recognize your accomplishments, roles, and contributions to the community. They appear on your public profile page so other players can see what you’ve achieved or what role you play in the CTF community.

Where badges appear

All badges assigned to your account appear on your Profile page beneath your name and score. Each badge displays its icon and name. Hovering over a badge shows its description.

How badges are assigned

Badges are assigned by platform administrators — they are not awarded automatically based on your score or challenge count. If you believe you qualify for a badge, contact a platform admin.
You cannot assign badges to yourself. All badge assignments are made by admins through the admin dashboard.

Custom badges

In addition to the standard badge templates, admins can create and assign fully custom badges. A custom badge has the following properties:
FieldDescription
NameThe badge’s display name shown on your profile
DescriptionA short explanation of what the badge recognizes
IconAn image or icon representing the badge
ColorA color used for badge styling
Custom badges allow event organizers and platform admins to create badges for specific competitions, milestones, or community contributions that aren’t covered by the built-in templates.

Profile display

Your profile shows all badges assigned to your account in a badge grid. The display updates automatically when a new badge is assigned to you — there is nothing you need to do to make a newly awarded badge appear.
Share your profile link to show off your badges to the broader CTF community.
