HBM’s Nuclear Tech Mod (NTM) is a sprawling, content-rich Minecraft 1.7.10 Forge mod that brings a fully realized nuclear technology progression to survival gameplay. Starting from humble ore deposits and basic crafting benches, players work their way through an elaborate tech tree spanning industrial machinery, oil refining, chemical processing, and ultimately nuclear power — including fission reactors, fusion devices, a particle accelerator, and weapons of varying destructiveness. The mod does not shy away from complexity: radiation exposure, fuel enrichment cycles, multi-step fluid processing chains, and high-stakes reactor management are all core parts of the experience. Whether you want to build a functioning RBMK reactor, launch nuclear missiles, or simply power your base with a steam turbine, NTM provides the systems to do it.Documentation Index

What NTM Adds
NTM’s content spans dozens of interconnected systems, all feeding into a single coherent tech progression:Nuclear Fuel Cycle
Mine uranium and thorium ores, enrich them through centrifuges and chemical processing, and produce fuel rods for fission reactors. Multiple isotopes (U-235, U-238, Pu-239, and more) support different reactor designs.
RBMK Reactor
Build and operate the iconic RBMK channel-type reactor. Manage coolant flow, control rod insertion, and xenon poisoning to keep your reactor stable — and learn what happens when you don’t.
Fusion & Particle Accelerator
Progress toward late-game fusion reactors and a full particle accelerator. These systems unlock exotic materials and enormous power outputs unavailable through fission alone.
Radiation System
Radiation is simulated in real time. Radioactive blocks, fallout, and contaminated fluids all emit radiation that accumulates in your body. Protective equipment — starting with lead armor and hazmat suits — is essential near nuclear materials.
Oil Processing
Locate oil deposits with detectors, extract crude oil with derricks or pump jacks, and process it through multi-stage refinery chains (Oil 1, 2, and 3) to produce diesel, kerosene, polymer, rubber, explosives, and much more.
Advanced Machinery
Hundreds of machines handle pressing, assembling, centrifuging, smelting, chemical processing, and fluid handling. A custom pipe and cable network connects everything, with fluid identification keeping pipelines organized.
Weapons
From conventional firearms and artillery to dirty bombs, fission devices, and thermonuclear warheads, NTM includes an extensive weapons system. Missiles can be targeted at coordinates and launched from silos.
Automation
Machines support item and fluid piping, conveyor belts, autoloaders, and OpenComputers integration for programmatic control of complex systems including the RBMK reactor.
