Before You Ask

Before opening a new issue or discussion, please:
  1. Search existing issues - Your question might already be answered
  2. Check the documentation - Many common questions are covered in our docs
  3. Try the latest version - Your issue might already be fixed

Reporting Bugs

Found a bug? Help us fix it by submitting a detailed bug report.

What to Include

When reporting a bug, please include:
Specify the exact version of Obsidian Chess Studio you’re using (found in Settings → About) and your operating system.Example: v2.6.9 on Windows 11 or v2.6.9 on macOS Sonoma 14.2
Provide clear, step-by-step instructions to reproduce the issue:
  1. Open Obsidian Chess Studio
  2. Navigate to Analysis tab
  3. Click “Start Engine”
  4. Observe the error
  • Expected: What you thought should happen
  • Actual: What actually happened
Include screenshots or screen recordings if relevant. Error logs can be found in the app’s log directory.

Obsidian Chess Studio is maintained by volunteers in their free time. While we strive to respond quickly, please be patient. Complex issues may take longer to investigate and resolve.
