Last Updated: November 1, 2025This page tracks the compatibility of Android apps and games with Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) using WSABuilds.

  • 🆖 Works, but needs Google Mobile Services - Requires GMS to function
  • ⚠️ Works, but with notable problems - Functions with limitations
  • ❌ Broken - Does not work

VPN Workaround

Official WSA builds lack com.android.vpndialogs. WSABuilds include this component. For other builds, manually grant VPN permission: 
adb shell appops set [package name] ACTIVATE_VPN allow

Launching Android Apps via URI

Microsoft provides a custom URI scheme: 
wsa://[App Package Name]
Example: 
wsa://com.apple.android.music
Important Notes:
  • Testing is community-driven and results may vary by hardware
  • Support levels can change with WSA updates
  • Some apps require specific Android versions (11, 12, or 13)
  • GMS = Google Mobile Services (Play Store, Play Services, etc.)

  • Try different window sizes/orientations
  • Test with and without GMS if applicable
