How search works

The search functionality indexes every wallpaper with rich metadata stored in index.json:

Metadata fields

Search across art_style, technique, color_palette, primary_colors, secondary_colors, mood, series, character names, and tags

Device filtering

Filter results by Desktop or Mobile orientation while searching

Instant results

Results appear as you type with no server requests - all searching happens client-side

Click the search icon in the header or press Cmd+K (Mac) / Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) to open the search overlay

Use the device filter buttons (All/Desktop/Mobile) to show only wallpapers optimized for your target device

Device filtering

Toggle between device types to find wallpapers optimized for your needs:
  • All - Show all wallpapers regardless of orientation
  • Desktop - Only horizontal/landscape wallpapers (width > height)
  • Mobile - Only vertical/portrait wallpapers (height > width)
The filter applies in real-time as you search, with visual indicators showing each wallpaper’s platform.

Search is optimized for speed:

Search is case-insensitive and matches partial terms. Try searching for part of a word or color name to find variations.
