What Toolbox does

Toolbox adds a persistent moderation bar to every Reddit page, and injects context-aware controls throughout the site — in queues, on user profiles, in modmail, and more. Each feature is implemented as an independently toggleable module with its own per-subreddit configuration stored in subreddit wikis.

User Notes

Attach persistent notes to any Reddit user, visible to all moderators across your subreddits

Removal Reasons

Send templated removal messages as comments, PMs, or modmail with one click

Queue Tools

Enhance the mod queue with action history, report expansion, and subreddit color coding

Mod Bar

Quick-access toolbar with unmoderated counts and links to all moderated subreddits

Notifications

Real-time alerts for new queue items, modmail, and mod log activity

Mod Matrix

Get started

1

Install the extension

Add Toolbox to Chrome or Firefox, then navigate to any Reddit page.
2

Open the Toolbox settings

Click the Toolbox icon in your browser toolbar, or find the Toolbox link in the mod bar that appears at the top of Reddit pages.
3

Configure per-subreddit features

Navigate to a subreddit you moderate and configure features like Removal Reasons and User Notes through the in-page settings panel. Settings are saved to the subreddit wiki so all moderators share the same configuration.
4

Start moderating

Toolbox integrates directly into Reddit’s interface — User Notes appear inline on comments and posts, Removal Reasons show up when you remove content, and Queue Tools enhance your mod queue automatically.
Toolbox settings are stored per-subreddit in subreddit wikis. You must have wiki access to configure Toolbox for a subreddit.
