This guide walks you through launching Deeztracker for the first time, authenticating with your Deezer account via an ARL token, and playing a track. The whole process takes about five minutes.
Deeztracker authenticates through your personal Deezer ARL session token — not a username and password. You retrieve this token from your browser’s cookies after logging in to deezer.com. See ARL token setup for detailed instructions.

Steps

1

Launch Deeztracker

Open Deeztracker from your applications menu or desktop shortcut. The app starts and displays the login screen. If you have not installed Deeztracker yet, follow the installation guide first.
2

Obtain your ARL token

Deeztracker needs your Deezer ARL cookie to authenticate. To get it:
  1. Open deezer.com in your web browser and log in.
  2. Open Developer Tools — press F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I.
  3. Navigate to the Application tab (Chrome or Edge) or the Storage tab (Firefox).
  4. Under Cookies, select https://www.deezer.com.
  5. Find the cookie named arl and copy its entire value.
The ARL value is a long string of letters and numbers. Copy the complete value — partial tokens will not authenticate. For step-by-step screenshots, see ARL token setup.
3

Enter your ARL token

Paste the ARL value into the token field on the Deeztracker login screen, then click Connect (or press Enter).Deeztracker validates the token against Deezer. If the token is valid, you are taken to the dashboard. If authentication fails, double-check that you copied the full arl cookie value.
4

Explore the dashboard

The dashboard is your home screen. From here you can:
  • Search for tracks, albums, artists, and playlists using the search view.
  • Browse your library to see saved playlists and downloaded tracks.
  • Navigate to an artist or album by clicking on any result.
5

Play a track

To play a track, click the play button next to any song in the dashboard, search results, or a playlist. The player controls appear at the bottom of the window.Deeztracker checks whether the track is already saved locally. If it is, playback starts from disk. Otherwise, it streams directly from Deezer.
You can control playback from your OS media keys or system tray without switching to the Deeztracker window.
