What This Is
Most bookmark managers suffer from the same problem: links accumulate faster than they are revisited. A GitHub repo saved on a Tuesday looks interesting. By the following month it is indistinguishable from forty other repos saved for similar reasons. The context that made it worth saving is gone. Decision Rain Library Project addresses this directly. It is a small set of rules, tags, note templates, and examples that turn Raindrop into a decision library rather than a bookmark pile. When you give the AI assistant a link, it saves it to a staging collection, reads the page and available evidence, and writes a compact review covering the verdict, the claim, what supports or weakens it, how confident the review is, how well it fits your situation, and what the next concrete step should be. You then decide whether to promote it, send it to review, or archive it.Decision Rain Library Project is an independent, user-created template. What This Is Not
It is worth being direct about the project’s scope before going further.This is not a complete personal knowledge management system, a full knowledge base, or an automation framework. It is a small review system for links that may matter later. It does not replace note-taking tools, wikis, or task managers.
Key Concepts
Eight terms appear throughout the project. Understanding them before setup will make the rules easier to follow.Signal
Anything that caught your attention and may deserve later review: a GitHub repo, a tool, an article, a product, a guide, a pattern, or a research spark. The library does not require you to know why it matters at capture time.
Analysis
The AI assistant’s output: what the link appears to provide, what evidence exists, what is uncertain, what the practical fit looks like, and what the next step should be. Analysis is not a decision.
Decision
The operator’s validated judgment: where the entry lives, what tags it carries, and what the next action is. Analysis becomes a decision only after explicit operator approval. A clean-looking proposal is not a decision.
Operator
You. The human who owns the library. The only authority who can validate, promote, archive, or change an entry’s canonical status. Silence is not approval. Prior approval for a similar entry is not approval.
SYSTEM
The
00_SYSTEM collection. It stores governance documents — the agent contract, system spec, tag registry, decision rules, note template, golden examples, and usage flow — as Raindrop bookmarks whose excerpts are the source of truth.INBOX
The
00_INBOX collection. Every new external link starts here without exception. Saving a link to INBOX preserves the trace before any analysis occurs and prevents the assistant from treating capture as classification.LIBRARY
The
20_LIBRARY collection. Evaluated and operator-validated decision entries only. A direct write into LIBRARY is only valid after explicit operator validation — high assistant confidence does not count.ARCHIVE
The
90_ARCHIVE collection. Entries that are rejected, outdated, duplicated, inactive, or kept only for historical reference. Archiving always requires an operator action, never an automatic assistant judgment.
