The refactored bot now groups behavior by responsibility instead of keeping everything in one file. Use this page as a quick map when you are updating commands, events, or the interface.

Current modules

Music commands

The MusicCommands cog in cogs/music_commands.py owns the public slash command surface for playback, queue browsing, and helper commands:
  • /play
  • /queue
  • /nowplaying
  • /join
  • /ping
  • /help
  • /voteskip
  • /skip
  • /pause
  • /resume
  • /stop
  • /volume
  • /loop
  • /autoplay
  • /clearqueue
  • /shuffle
  • /previous
  • /remove

Events

The AudioEvents cog in cogs/events.py manages the audio lifecycle:
  • voice-state cleanup when the channel becomes empty
  • persistent “Now Playing” embeds
  • autoplay and queue progression
  • Discord presence updates

Utility and permissions

The shared helpers live in:
  • core/decorators.py for DJ and role-based checks
  • ui/embeds.py for rich embed generation
  • ui/views.py for queue navigation and interactive buttons
When you add new features, keep them as separate cogs and document them here so the docs stay aligned with the code.
