SolBid offers multiple ways to create your account and start playing bidding games. You can sign up with your email address or use Google OAuth for quick authentication.

Creating an account with email

The email signup process includes email verification to ensure account security.

Navigate to the signup page

Click the Sign Up button in the navigation bar or visit the homepage and select Sign Up.

Enter your details

Fill in the signup form with:
  • Email: Your valid email address
  • Name: Your display name (used throughout the platform)
  • Password: A secure password (minimum requirements apply)

Submit and verify

Click Sign Up to submit your information. An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your email address.

Enter OTP

Check your email inbox for the verification code and enter it in the OTP input field that appears.

Complete verification

Click Verify OTP to complete your account creation. You’ll be automatically redirected to the home page upon successful verification.
If you already have an account with the same email address, you’ll be redirected to the login page instead.

Signing up with Google

For faster account creation, you can use Google OAuth authentication.

Click Google signup

On the signup modal, click the Continue with Google button at the bottom of the form.

Authorize with Google

You’ll be redirected to Google’s authorization page. Sign in with your Google account and grant SolBid the necessary permissions.

Automatic account creation

After authorization, SolBid automatically creates your account using your Google profile information (email and name). You’ll be redirected to the home page.
Google OAuth signup is the fastest way to get started - no password to remember and no email verification required.

Logging into your account

Once you’ve created your account, you can log in using either method:

Email login

  1. Click Login in the navigation bar
  2. Enter your email and password
  3. Click Login to access your account

Google login

  1. Click Login in the navigation bar
  2. Click Continue with Google
  3. Select your Google account to sign in
If you created your account with email/password, you must use email login. Similarly, if you signed up with Google, use Google login.

Password recovery

If you forget your password for email-based accounts:
  1. Click Login in the navigation bar
  2. Select Forgot password? below the password field
  3. Enter your email address to receive a password reset link
  4. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your password

Account security

SolBid implements several security measures to protect your account:
  • Password hashing: All passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage
  • Email verification: OTP verification ensures you control the email address
  • JWT sessions: Secure session management using JSON Web Tokens
  • Provider tracking: Your account remembers which authentication method you used
