Every report uploaded to FFLogs is tagged with a server region. The region determines how FFLogs categorizes the report and which server-specific rankings it is compared against. Choosing the wrong region means your report will be filed under an incorrect data center and your characters’ parses will not appear in the right ranking pools.

Available regions

NA
North America — API value 1
Covers all North American data centers: Aether, Crystal, Dynamis, and Primal. Select this region if your characters are on any of these data centers.
EU
Europe — API value 2
Covers the European data centers: Chaos and Light. Select this region if your characters are on any European world.
JP
Japan — API value 3
Covers the Japanese data centers: Elemental, Gaia, Mana, and Meteor. Select this region if your characters are on any Japanese world.
OC
Oceania — API value 6
Covers the Oceanian data center: Materia. Select this region if your characters are on any Oceanian world.

If you select the wrong region, FFLogs will file the report under the incorrect data center. Rankings pulled by the parse viewer will not match your characters’ actual server rankings, and the report will appear in the wrong region’s log lists. Reports cannot be re-regionalized after upload — you would need to re-upload the log with the correct region selected.

How region is applied

The region setting in the main window sets the serverOrRegion field sent to the FFLogs API when a report is created. The parser also uses a two-letter region code (NA, EU, JP, OC) internally when processing log lines.
When uploading to a guild, the report is still created with the region you have selected in the plugin. The guild’s own region on fflogs.com does not override this value. Make sure your selected region matches your guild’s home data center to avoid mismatched rankings.

Changing the region

The region dropdown is available on both the Live Log and Upload a Log tabs in the main plugin window. The selected value is saved to your configuration automatically, so it persists across sessions. See configuration options for the full list of saved settings.
