Welcome to your NutriFit patient portal. This guide will help you make the most of your account and manage your nutrition journey.

Dashboard Overview

After logging in, your dashboard displays:
  • Statistics:
    • Total appointments you’ve had
    • Completed consultations
    • Pending appointments
  • Next Appointment: Details of your upcoming consultation including:
    • Nutritionist name
    • Date and time
    • Appointment type
    • Quick access to appointment details
  • Recent Appointments: Your 10 most recent consultations
  • Available Nutritionists: Browse nutritionists accepting appointments
You can only have one pending appointment at a time. Complete or cancel your current appointment before booking another.

First Time Setup

Changing Your Password

When you first log in with a default password:
  1. You’ll be prompted to change your password
  2. Enter a new password (minimum 8 characters)
  3. Confirm your new password
  4. Click Update Password
You’ll receive an email confirmation of the password change.

Completing Your Profile

  1. Click Profile in the navigation
  2. Update your information:
    • Full name
    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • Date of birth
    • Gender
    • Emergency contact
    • Medical history (optional but recommended)
  3. Upload profile photo (optional)
  4. Click Save Profile
Providing complete medical history helps your nutritionist create better personalized plans.

Booking Appointments

Finding a Nutritionist

  1. Click Book Appointment from dashboard or navigation
  2. Browse available nutritionists
  3. View each nutritionist’s:
    • Name and credentials
    • Specializations
    • Consultation price
    • Availability status
  4. Click View Schedule to see their available times

Selecting Appointment Time

  1. After selecting a nutritionist, you’ll see their calendar
  2. The calendar shows 4 weeks of availability
  3. Available time slots are displayed by:
    • Week number (current week and next 3 weeks)
    • Day of the week
    • Specific times (45-minute slots)
  4. Click on an available time slot
  5. Unavailable or booked slots are grayed out

Completing Your Booking

  1. Confirm your selected date and time
  2. Choose appointment type:
    • First Visit: Your initial consultation
    • Follow-up: Regular follow-up session
    • Control: Check-up or monitoring visit
  3. Enter reason for visit (optional but helpful)
  4. Review appointment details:
    • Nutritionist name
    • Date and time
    • Price
  5. Click Confirm Appointment
You’ll receive:
  • Immediate confirmation on screen
  • Email confirmation with appointment details
  • Reminder notifications before your appointment
You cannot book a new appointment while you have a pending appointment. Complete or cancel your existing appointment first.

Appointment Types Explained

First Visit (Primera Vez):
  • Comprehensive initial assessment
  • Complete medical and dietary history
  • Initial measurements and goals setting
  • Personalized nutrition plan creation
  • Usually longer and more detailed
Follow-up (Seguimiento):
  • Regular check-in on progress
  • Adjustments to nutrition plan
  • New measurements and progress tracking
  • Discussion of challenges and successes
Control (Control):
  • Quick check-up session
  • Verify adherence to plan
  • Answer questions
  • Minor adjustments if needed

Managing Your Appointments

Viewing Appointment Details

  1. Go to My Appointments
  2. Click on any appointment to view:
    • Nutritionist information
    • Date and time
    • Status (pending, completed, cancelled, expired)
    • Appointment type and reason
    • Price
    • Location or meeting link
    • Clinical notes (for completed appointments)

Filtering Appointments

Use filters to find specific appointments:
  • By Status: Pending, completed, cancelled, expired
  • By Nutritionist: See appointments with specific nutritionist
  • By Date Range: Select start and end dates

Cancelling an Appointment

If you need to cancel:
  1. Open the appointment details
  2. Click Cancel Appointment button
  3. Confirm the cancellation
Notifications are sent:
  • You receive immediate confirmation
  • Your nutritionist is notified
  • The time slot becomes available for other patients
Cancelled appointments cannot be recovered. You’ll need to book a new appointment.

Appointment States Explained

  • Pending: Scheduled and confirmed, awaiting the appointment date
  • Completed: Consultation finished, clinical records available
  • Cancelled: Appointment was cancelled by you or your nutritionist
  • Expired: Appointment time passed without completion (automatically marked)

After Your Consultation

Accessing Your Clinical Records

  1. Go to My Appointments
  2. Find the completed appointment
  3. Click to view details
  4. Clinical data includes:
    • Body measurements (weight, height, BMI)
    • Circumference measurements
    • Body composition analysis
    • Metabolic calculations
    • Clinical notes from nutritionist
    • Personalized nutrition plan
    • Follow-up recommendations

Downloading Reports

For completed consultations:
  1. Open the appointment
  2. Click Download PDF or View PDF
  3. PDF includes:
    • All measurements and data
    • Nutritionist’s notes and recommendations
    • Your personalized nutrition plan
    • Next steps and goals
Save these reports to track your progress over time.

Viewing Your Health History

Accessing Your History

  1. Click My History in navigation
  2. View all your completed consultations
  3. See interactive progress charts

Understanding Progress Charts

Your history includes visual tracking of: Weight and Body Composition:
  • Weight progression over time
  • BMI changes
  • Body fat percentage trends
Measurements:
  • Waist circumference
  • Hip circumference
  • Arm measurements (contracted and relaxed)
  • Leg measurements (thigh and calf)
  • Neck and wrist measurements
Metabolic Metrics:
  • TMB (Basal Metabolic Rate) changes
  • TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure)
  • Target calorie adjustments
Body Ratios:
  • WHR (Waist-to-Hip Ratio)
  • WHT (Waist-to-Height Ratio)

Progress Statistics

View your overall progress:
  • Total Consultations: Number of sessions completed
  • First Visit Date: When you started
  • Last Visit Date: Your most recent consultation
  • Weight Change: Total weight lost/gained and percentage
  • BMI Change: How your BMI has improved
  • Body Fat Change: Reduction in body fat percentage
  • Measurement Changes: Centimeter changes in key areas
Review your progress charts before appointments to discuss specific concerns with your nutritionist.

Profile Management

Updating Personal Information

  1. Navigate to Profile
  2. Update any of:
    • Name
    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • Birth date
    • Gender
  3. Click Save Changes

Changing Your Password

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password (minimum 8 characters)
  5. Confirm new password
  6. Click Update Password
You’ll receive a security notification email.

Managing Notification Preferences

Control which notifications you receive:
  • Appointment confirmations
  • Appointment reminders (24 hours before)
  • Cancellation notifications
  • Reschedule notifications
  • General updates from your nutritionist

Email Notifications

You’ll automatically receive emails for:
  • Booking Confirmation: When you book an appointment
  • Reminder: 24 hours before appointment
  • Cancellation: When appointment is cancelled
  • Reschedule: When appointment time changes
  • Completion: When consultation is finished and records are available
  • Password Changed: Security notification
  • Account Status: If account is activated/deactivated
  • Profile Updates: Confirmation of profile changes

Troubleshooting

Cannot Book Appointment

Issue: “You already have a pending appointment” message Solution:
  • Check your dashboard for existing appointments
  • Complete or cancel your current appointment
  • Only one pending appointment allowed at a time

Nutritionist Has No Available Times

Solution:
  • Check if they have configured their schedule
  • Try a different week (calendar shows 4 weeks)
  • Consider booking with another nutritionist
  • Contact the clinic for assistance

Cannot Access Clinical Records

Issue: Records not showing for completed appointment Solution:
  • Ensure appointment status is “completed”
  • Refresh the page
  • Wait a few minutes (records may be processing)
  • Contact your nutritionist if issue persists

Forgot Password

  1. Click Forgot Password on login page
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Check email for reset link
  4. Click link and create new password
  5. Log in with new password

Best Practices

Before Your Appointment

  • Review your progress history
  • Prepare questions for your nutritionist
  • Note any challenges or concerns
  • Bring previous reports if you have them
  • Arrive on time (or log in on time for virtual appointments)

During Your Appointment

  • Be honest about your eating habits
  • Ask questions if you don’t understand
  • Take notes on recommendations
  • Discuss realistic goals
  • Request clarification on the nutrition plan

After Your Appointment

  • Download and save your PDF report
  • Review the nutrition plan thoroughly
  • Set reminders for follow-up tasks
  • Track your daily progress
  • Book your next follow-up appointment

Ongoing Management

  • Check dashboard regularly
  • Keep profile information current
  • Monitor your progress charts
  • Attend all scheduled appointments
  • Communicate with your nutritionist if issues arise

Quick Actions

  • Book Appointment: Dashboard → Book Appointment → Select Nutritionist
  • View Next Appointment: Check dashboard for quick details
  • Cancel Appointment: My Appointments → Select Appointment → Cancel
  • Download Report: My Appointments → Completed Appointment → Download PDF
  • View Progress: My History → View Charts and Statistics
  • Update Profile: Profile → Edit → Save Changes
  • Change Password: Profile → Change Password
Set calendar reminders for your appointments and check your email regularly for important notifications.

Privacy and Security

Your health information is protected:
  • All data is encrypted
  • Only you and your nutritionist can access your records
  • Administrators can view appointment information for support purposes
  • Your data is never shared without consent
  • You can request data export or deletion at any time
