ExamPlatform is a secure, computer-based examination SaaS designed for institutions that need reliable, tamper-resistant online testing at scale. It brings together three distinct roles — Students, Examiners, and Administrators — under a single portal, with each role granted a purpose-built dashboard and a precisely scoped set of permissions. Whether you are a student sitting a timed, proctored assessment, an examiner building a question bank and grading subjective answers, or an administrator managing users and auditing platform activity, ExamPlatform provides the workflows and safeguards your institution needs to run examinations with confidence.

Quickstart

Create an account, build your first question, schedule an exam, and review results in under 10 minutes.

Roles & Permissions

Understand what each role — Student, Examiner, and Administrator — can and cannot do on the platform.

Exam Lifecycle

Follow an exam from draft creation through question assignment, publishing, live monitoring, and results.

AI Proctoring

Learn how ExamPlatform detects and flags suspicious behaviour in real time using webcam, eye-tracking, and behavioural signals.

Key capabilities

  • AI-proctored sessions — Webcam feed, eye-tracking, face detection, mobile-device detection, tab-switch counting, and fullscreen-exit logging run continuously throughout every exam. A live AI risk score (Normal / Elevated / Critical) is surfaced to examiners and administrators in real time.
  • Server-controlled timer — The countdown is authoritative on the server; the exam auto-submits the moment time expires, preventing any client-side manipulation.
  • Five question types — Multiple-choice (single correct), multi-select, short answer, long answer, and image upload (photo of handwritten work with OCR extraction).
  • Flexible evaluation workflow — Objective questions are auto-graded instantly. Subjective answers can be routed through an AI first-pass suggestion before the examiner provides the final, overriding grade.
  • Live monitoring dashboard — Examiners see every student’s current question, time remaining, tab-switch count, AI risk level, and last heartbeat, with a force-submit control for emergencies.
  • Question Bank — Questions are stored by subject, type, difficulty, and mark value and can be imported from CSV, PDF, Google Forms, or generated with AI assistance.
  • Negative marking — Each question can carry an optional negative-mark penalty configurable at creation time.
  • Bulk user management — Administrators can create users individually or via CSV import, reset passwords, and deactivate accounts.
  • Audit logs — Every sensitive action (exam published, user created, password reset, result published, etc.) is timestamped, actor-attributed, and IP-logged.
  • Email notifications — Platform-wide or targeted announcements, exam reminders, and schedule-change alerts can be sent from the Admin console.
  • Exportable reports — Per-exam score distributions, question-bank exports, and full audit logs are available as PDF, Excel, and CSV downloads.

The three roles

RolePrimary responsibility
StudentSelf-registers, receives exam assignments, sits AI-proctored exams, and reviews published results and performance analytics.
ExaminerBuilds question banks, drafts and publishes exams, monitors live sessions, and grades subjective answers with optional AI assistance.
AdministratorManages all users (creates examiner and admin accounts), oversees platform-wide analytics, monitors AI integrity signals, and accesses audit logs and reports.

Multi-language support

ExamPlatform is fully localised in eight languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, Telugu, and Kannada. Every user can switch their preferred display language from their profile settings, and the change takes effect immediately across the entire interface — including exam instructions, navigation, and dashboard labels.

About AI proctoring

ExamPlatform’s proctoring engine combines continuous webcam analysis with behavioural signals to generate a per-session AI risk score. During an exam the system tracks gaze direction (away-from-screen events), face presence (face-missing and multiple-faces flags), mobile-device detection, tab switches, and fullscreen exits. All flagged events are timestamped and assembled into a suspicious-activity timeline that examiners and administrators can review after the session. The AI provides a first-pass integrity signal; a human examiner always retains the authority to interpret the report and take final action.
