Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further.

Every course page on YouEyeSea includes a discussion panel in the center column. It has two tabs — Ratings and Notes — that let you read what former students said about a course or professor and add your own contribution. No account is required.

The two tabs

The Ratings tab shows professor reviews. Each review includes a star rating (0–5 stars) and a written comment. Reviews are scoped to a professor, not a specific semester, so they aggregate feedback across every term that instructor taught the course. When you have a specific professor selected using the Professor dropdown, the Ratings tab shows only reviews for that instructor. Select All Professors to browse all reviews for the course across every instructor.

Leaving a rating

1

Select a professor

Use the Professor dropdown in the top-right of the visualization panel to select the instructor you want to review. Reviews submitted without a professor selected are not tied to any specific instructor.
2

Open the Ratings tab

Click Ratings in the discussion panel tab bar.
3

Set your star rating

Click the stars in the review form at the bottom of the panel to choose a score from 1 to 5.
4

Write your review

Type your experience in the text field. The maximum length is 1,500 characters.
5

Submit

Click Submit. Your review appears immediately in the list.

Leaving a note

1

Open the Notes tab

Click Notes in the discussion panel tab bar.
2

Write your note

Type a short note in the text field at the bottom of the panel. The maximum length is 280 characters.
3

Submit

Click Submit. Your note appears as a new sticky note at the top of the list with a peel-in animation.

Moderation

All submissions pass through a profanity filter before being saved. If your text contains flagged words, the form will display a warning message instead of submitting. Rewrite your comment without profanity and try again.

Author display names

YouEyeSea does not require an account to post. All submissions are attributed to Anonymous Fireball by default. There is no option to set a custom display name through the UI — the author field is fixed.
The most useful ratings and notes are specific: mention the semester you took the course, what the workload was like, how exams were structured, or what resources helped you succeed. Vague comments are harder for other students to act on.

Course details

Understand the grade distribution chart, professor and semester dropdowns, and the stats panel on a course page.
