The Work page is your portfolio’s equivalent of a résumé experience section — but with more room to tell the story behind each role. It documents your professional journey in chronological or reverse-chronological order, helping visitors understand the depth and breadth of your career. The route path is /work and the Navigation component labels this page The Journey, styled with accent color #6366f1.

Purpose

Use the Work page to present your employment history, freelance engagements, and any significant contract or consulting work. Combined with the Skills page, it gives visitors a complete picture of where you have worked, what you were responsible for, and how your career has evolved over time.

What to Include

Open work.html and replace the placeholder entries with your own experience. For each role, include:
  • Job title — your official title or the role you performed (for freelance work, something like Independent Designer or Freelance Developer works well)
  • Company or client name — the organization you worked for or with
  • Dates — start and end month/year, or Present if the role is current
  • Responsibilities and achievements — two to five bullet points covering what you owned, what you shipped, and any measurable outcomes

Tips for a Strong Work Page

  • Lead with your most recent role and work backwards — reverse-chronological order is the convention most visitors expect
  • Focus on outcomes and impact, not just a list of duties — “reduced page load time by 40%” is more compelling than “optimized frontend performance”
  • Include freelance and contract work — it counts, and it often shows a broader range of skills and autonomy than salaried roles
  • If you are early in your career, include internships, volunteer technical work, and significant personal projects that involved real responsibility
When a visitor is on the Work page, the The Journey label in the floating navigation menu is highlighted with #6366f1. The route definition in Navigation.js is:
{ path: '/work', label: 'The Journey', color: '#6366f1' }

Skills

Pair your experience history with a clear picture of your technical capabilities.
