Lynx Theme Pro is a complete visual customization suite for modern code editors. Built for developers who spend long hours in their editor, it ships eight carefully calibrated color themes, a 1280+ SVG icon pack in three distinct styles, and an experimental Liquid Glass engine that brings real glassmorphism blur to your workspace. Whether you prefer a deep midnight palette, a warm daylight scheme, or a cutting-edge transparent UI, Lynx Theme Pro offers a polished, production-ready look that reduces eye strain and keeps you focused on the code.

Color Themes

Lynx Theme Pro includes eight theme variants spanning dark, light, and experimental modes. Each theme is crafted with deliberate color choices to maximize syntax contrast, UI clarity, and long-session comfort.

66. KIROㅤㅤ(Lynx Theme)Dark
77. NVIMㅤㅤ(Lynx Theme)Dark
88. LIQUIDㅤㅤ(Lynx Theme) 🧪Dark + Glassmorphism
  • DARK — The classic Lynx flagship: a deep, neutral dark palette with vivid syntax accents.
  • LIGHT — A clean, high-contrast light theme built for bright environments.
  • NIGHT — A cooler, near-black dark theme optimized for late-night sessions.
  • GHIBLI — A soft, warm light theme inspired by Studio Ghibli’s gentle color world.
  • FURY — A bold, high-contrast dark theme with a strong visual identity.
  • KIRO — A refined dark theme inspired by the Kiro editor aesthetic.
  • NVIM — A terminal-first dark palette drawn from Neovim’s minimalist design language.
  • LIQUID 🧪 — An experimental dark theme powered by the Liquid Glass engine; applies real CSS backdrop-filter blur across the entire VS Code UI.
The LIQUID theme is experimental. It injects custom CSS into the VS Code host shell to achieve glassmorphism effects, which causes VS Code to display a one-time “Your installation appears to be corrupt” notice in the status bar. This message is purely cosmetic and does not affect editor functionality or your files in any way.

Icon System

Lynx Theme Pro bundles over 1,280 hand-crafted SVG icons organized into three switchable file/folder icon styles and a dedicated system (product) icon set.

File & Folder Icon Styles

  • Style ALynx Icons - (Style A): The original Lynx icon design. Dark, saturated tones that pair perfectly with dark color themes.
  • Style BLynx Icons - (Style B): A lighter, modern alternative designed for readability alongside light themes.
  • Style CLynx Icons - (Style C): A neutral gray variant that works universally across any color theme.
All three styles cover an extensive range of file types, frameworks, languages, and well-known services — from standard language files (.ts, .py, .rs) to cloud platforms, AI tools, and modern meta-frameworks.

System (Product) Icons

Two product icon theme options replace VS Code’s built-in UI icons (activity bar, panel buttons, and similar chrome elements):
  • Lynx (Material) Icons — A Material Design-influenced system icon set for a clean, modern IDE feel.
  • Lynx (Test) Icons — An alternative system icon set for users who want a different visual weight.

Liquid Glass Engine

The Liquid Glass engine is an experimental glassmorphism blur system built on top of VS Code’s theming layer. When the LIQUID theme is active, the extension applies backdrop-filter: blur() styling across the editor shell — sidebars, panels, title bars, and activity bar — producing a frosted-glass transparency effect. This feature is powered by a bundled TypeScript runtime (dist/themes/liquid-theme/liquid-theme.js) and activates automatically on editor startup.

Lynx Theme Pro is tested and supported on:
