The Beaver Builder Theme uses the WordPress Customizer to set all of its theme options. The Customizer provides a live preview of your changes as you make them.

Access the Customizer

You can access the Customizer in either of the following ways:
  • On the WordPress admin panel, click Appearance > Customize
  • Click Customize in the admin bar

Customizer tabs

The BB Theme adds several tabs to the WordPress Customizer:

General

Configure layout settings, background colors and images, accent colors, typography for headings and text, button styles, and social links. View General tab settings Set up your site header including top bar, header layout, logo, and navigation menu styles. View Header tab settings

Content

Configure settings for your blog layout, archive pages, post layout, WooCommerce integration, and lightbox options. View Content tab settings Customize footer widgets and main footer layout and styling options. View Footer tab settings

Presets

Choose from pre-designed color schemes and layout combinations to quickly style your site.

Code

Add custom CSS and JavaScript code globally to your site.

Settings

Configure site identity (title, tagline, icon) and static front page options.

Using the Customizer

Navigate to a section

Click on any of the tabs in the left panel to expand and view available settings.

Make your changes

Adjust settings using the various controls. The preview on the right updates in real-time.

Preview on different devices

Use the device icons at the bottom of the Customizer panel to preview your site on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Publish your changes

When you’re satisfied with your changes, click the Publish button at the top of the panel.
Changes in the Customizer are not saved until you click the Publish button. You can click the X at the top to exit without saving.

Responsive preview

The Customizer includes device preview icons at the bottom of the panel:
  • Desktop - Preview your site at full width
  • Tablet - Preview your site at medium device widths
  • Mobile - Preview your site at small device widths
Many BB Theme settings are responsive, meaning you can configure different values for different device sizes.
