The Supercharged Citation Picker brings blazingly fast, system-wide academic citation insertion to every text field on macOS. Powered by Alfred, it reads your .bib file directly and lets you search, insert, and manage BibTeX references without switching apps — supporting Pandoc, LaTeX, Multi-Markdown, org-mode, iA Writer, and more.

Download the workflow

Grab the latest .alfredworkflow release from GitHub and double-click to install.

Set your library path

Open Alfred Preferences → Workflows → Supercharged Citation Picker → Configure Workflow and enter the path to your .bib file.

Choose a citation format

Type scp in Alfred, select Change citation format, and pick your preferred style (default: Pandoc).

Start citing

Press your hotkey or type ct in Alfred from any text field, search for a reference, and press ↵ to insert it.
