About Himanshu

I’m Himanshu Balani, a Computer Science graduate from India. I love building random tools that help my work. My most recent job was to write SEO ranking content for ToolJet, where I did a dive deep into working with their platform and wrote over 10 blogs for them. I ‘try’ to maintain a personal blog where I share what I learn along the way too. Feel free to check it out! I also love interacting with folks and have been a speaker 4 times. Things I enjoy: astronomy, physics, computers and finding out how things work under the hood. If you’re into building cool things or just want to chat about tech, please reach out!

The Portfolio Website

The portfolio at himanshubalani.com is itself a Flutter Web app — built entirely with Flutter and compiled for the browser.
The portfolio (v2.3.0) was designed and developed from scratch as a Flutter Web application, making it a showcase of the technology it represents. Here’s what’s under the hood:
  • Framework: Flutter for Web — the entire UI is rendered via Flutter’s web engine, not traditional HTML/CSS.
  • PWA Support: The site is installable as a Progressive Web App, enabling offline access and a native-app feel.
  • Typography: Uses the Outfit font family for a clean, modern look. Quicksand, Rubik, and RobotoFlex are also bundled.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts: Power-user navigation built in — press Enter to jump to the About section, D to open the Figma Design Portfolio, and C to visit the GitHub profile.
The keyboard shortcuts make the portfolio especially fun to navigate — try pressing Enter as soon as the site loads!
