Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:
  • Kodi 19.0 (Matrix) or later installed on your device
  • Internet connection for downloading the plugin and its dependencies
  • Access to download files on the device where Kodi is installed
The plugin requires Kodi’s Python 3.0.0+ support, which is available in Kodi 19.0 and later versions.

Installation steps

1

Download the plugin

Download the latest plugin ZIP file from the GitHub Releases page to a location accessible from the device where Kodi is installed. If you received this plugin as a ZIP package, you can use that file directly.
Save the file to a location you can easily navigate to, such as your Downloads folder or desktop.
2

Open Kodi

Launch the Kodi application on your device.
3

Enable unknown sources (if required)

To install third-party add-ons, you may need to enable “Unknown sources” in Kodi settings.
  1. Go to SettingsSystemAdd-ons
  2. Enable the Unknown sources toggle
  3. Click Yes when prompted with a warning message

  2. Looking for Cricfy in the list of installed video add-ons

Troubleshooting common issues

If you encounter any problems during installation, try these solutions:

Add-on fails to install

  • Check the ZIP file: Make sure you selected the correct plugin.video.cricfy.zip file
  • Enable unknown sources: Verify that “Unknown sources” is enabled in Settings → System → Add-ons
  • Check Kodi version: Ensure you’re running Kodi 19.0 or later
  • Clear cache: Try clearing Kodi’s cache and restarting the application

Dependencies fail to install

  • Internet connection: Verify you have a stable internet connection
  • Repository access: Some dependencies may require access to the official Kodi repository
  • Manual installation: You can manually install missing dependencies from the Add-on browser

Installation succeeds but add-on doesn’t appear

  • Restart Kodi: Try completely closing and restarting Kodi
  • Check video add-ons: Make sure you’re looking in Add-ons → Video add-ons (not other add-on categories)
  • Check logs: Enable debug logging in Settings → System → Logging and review the log file for errors
For persistent issues, enable debug logging in SettingsSystemLogging and review the Kodi log file for detailed error messages.
