OpCore Simplify is an interactive command-line tool that streamlines the creation of OpenCore EFI configurations for Hackintosh systems. Instead of manually researching patches, kexts, and SMBIOS values for your specific hardware, OpCore Simplify detects your system configuration and generates a ready-to-use EFI folder automatically — supporting macOS High Sierra through macOS Tahoe across Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA hardware.

Installation

Download and set up OpCore Simplify on Windows, macOS, or Linux in minutes.

Quickstart

Build your first OpenCore EFI from hardware report to bootable EFI folder.

Hardware Support

Check which CPUs, GPUs, and macOS versions are supported by OpCore Simplify.

Troubleshooting

Diagnose and fix common issues during EFI generation and macOS installation.

How It Works

OpCore Simplify guides you through each step of the EFI creation process via an interactive menu:
1

Export your hardware report

Run OpCore Simplify on Windows and choose E. Export hardware report, or use Hardware Sniffer on any platform to generate a Report.json and ACPI dump of your system.
2

Select your target macOS version

OpCore Simplify runs a compatibility check across your CPU, GPU, network, Bluetooth, and storage devices and suggests the best macOS version for your hardware.
3

Review and customize patches

Automatically selected ACPI patches and kexts can be reviewed and adjusted. SMBIOS model selection is optimized for performance and power management.
4

Build your EFI

Select Build OpenCore EFI. The tool downloads the latest OpenCorePkg and all required kexts, applies patches, generates config.plist, and outputs a complete EFI folder to the Results/ directory.

Key Features

Hardware Compatibility Checker

Validate every device in your system against supported macOS versions before building.

Automatic ACPI Patches

SSDTTime-powered and custom patches selected automatically based on your hardware.

Kext Management

Intelligent kext selection with automatic updates from Dortania Builds and GitHub releases.

SMBIOS Configuration

Optimized Mac model selection with generated serial numbers, MLB, and UUID.

OCLP Integration

Full support for OpenCore Legacy Patcher to re-enable dropped GPUs and Wi-Fi cards.

Cross-Platform

Runs natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux with no additional dependencies beyond Python.
OpCore Simplify significantly reduces EFI setup time, but a successful Hackintosh installation still requires understanding basic concepts from the Dortania OpenCore Install Guide and patience during testing and troubleshooting.
