The Dollar Prices panel shows real-time buy and sell rates for every officially tracked Argentine dollar exchange type. Each rate type reflects a different legal or market context for accessing US dollars in Argentina.

How to use it

1

View the official rate

The Official (Oficial) dollar card is displayed prominently at the top, spanning the full width of the panel. It shows the regulated bank exchange rate.
2

Compare other rates

Below the official card, all other dollar types are displayed in a grid. Each card shows the buy (compra) and sell (venta) price in ARS.
3

Check the last update time

Each card includes a live update indicator showing when the rate was last refreshed.

Dollar types

Oficial

The regulated official exchange rate set by the Argentine Central Bank (BCRA). Used for formal international transactions and available through licensed banks.

Blue

The informal parallel market rate, also known as the dólar blue. This is not a legal exchange channel — it reflects street-level supply and demand and is typically higher than the official rate.

Bolsa (MEP)

The Mercado Electrónico de Pagos (MEP) dollar. A legal mechanism where investors buy Argentine bonds in pesos and sell them in dollars through the Buenos Aires stock exchange.

Contado con Liquidación (CCL)

Similar to MEP but involves offshore settlement. Used by larger investors to move capital internationally within legal bounds.

Mayorista

The wholesale exchange rate used for large-volume agricultural and commodity exports. Only accessible to registered businesses.

Cripto

An implied rate derived from buying/selling USDT or other stablecoins on Argentine crypto exchanges. Informal but traceable.

Tarjeta

The rate applied to international purchases made with an Argentine debit or credit card. Includes official rate plus a government surcharge (PAIS tax and perception tax).
The blue dollar is the informal parallel market rate. Trading at this rate operates outside the official banking system and is not a legal exchange channel in Argentina. It is shown here for informational purposes only.
