This guide will walk you through all patient features in Med Agenda, from account creation to managing your appointments and viewing your medical history.

Getting Started

Registering a New Account

To create your patient account in Med Agenda:

Navigate to Patient Registration

Access the registration page at /patient/registerYou’ll see the MedAgenda logo and a form titled “Registro de Paciente” (Patient Registration).

Fill in Your Personal Information

Complete all required fields in the registration form:
  • Name: Your full name
  • CPF: Your CPF number (digits only, no formatting)
  • Date of Birth: Select your birth date from the calendar picker
  • Address: Your street address (optional)
  • Medical History: Any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or medications (optional)
  • Email: Your email address (required for login and notifications)
  • Password: Create a secure password
The CPF field only accepts numbers. The system will automatically remove any formatting characters you enter.

Submit Registration

Click the “Registrar Paciente” (Register Patient) button to create your account.If successful, you’ll be redirected to the patient login page.

Logging In

Once you have an account, you can log in to access your patient dashboard:

Access the Login Page

Navigate to /patient/loginYou’ll see “Você está acessando como Paciente” (You are accessing as Patient).

Enter Your Credentials

Provide your login information:
  • Email: The email address you registered with
  • Password: Your account password
You can click the eye icon next to the password field to toggle password visibility.

Optional: Remember Me

Check the “Lembrar-me” (Remember Me) checkbox if you want the system to keep you logged in.

Sign In

Click the “Login” button to access your dashboard.Upon successful login, you’ll be redirected to /patient/dash.
Don’t have an account yet? Click the “Ainda não tem conta? Registrar” (Don’t have an account? Register) link on the login page to create one.

Finding and Scheduling Appointments

Searching for Doctors by Specialty

Med Agenda allows you to find doctors based on their specialty:
The system maintains a list of doctors with their specialties. When scheduling an appointment, you can:
  1. View all available doctors in the dropdown menu
  2. See each doctor’s name and CRM number
  3. Review their specialty information before selecting
Common specialties available include:
  • Cardiology
  • Dermatology
  • Pediatrics
  • Orthopedics
  • General Practice
  • And many more

Scheduling an Appointment

To book a new consultation:

Access the Scheduling Page

Navigate to the “Agendar Nova Consulta” (Schedule New Appointment) section from your patient dashboard.

Select Date and Time

Choose when you’d like your appointment:
  • Click the “Data e Hora da Consulta” (Consultation Date and Time) field
  • Select your preferred date and time using the datetime picker
Make sure to select a future date and time. Past dates will not be accepted.

Choose Your Doctor

Select a doctor from the dropdown menu:
  • Browse the list of available doctors
  • Each entry shows the doctor’s name and CRM number
  • Select the doctor you wish to see

Mark as Urgent (Optional)

If your consultation is urgent, check the “Consulta Urgente” (Urgent Consultation) checkbox.This helps prioritize your appointment.

Add Observations (Optional)

Use the “Observações” (Observations) field to:
  • Describe your symptoms
  • Mention specific concerns
  • Provide any relevant context for your visit

Confirm Your Appointment

Click the “Agendar Consulta” (Schedule Appointment) button.You’ll see a success message: “Consulta agendada com sucesso!” (Appointment scheduled successfully!)
You must be logged in to schedule appointments. The system uses your stored CPF and email to create the appointment.

Managing Your Appointments

Viewing Your Dashboard

Your patient dashboard (/patient/dash) displays:
  • Total Consultations: A count of all your scheduled and past appointments
  • Quick statistics about your healthcare journey
  • Easy navigation to schedule new appointments or view history

Viewing Appointment History

To review your past consultations:

Access History Page

Navigate to the “Histórico Médico” (Medical History) section.

Review Past Appointments

Your history shows all consultations that occurred before today, including:
  • Date: When the consultation took place (formatted as DD/MM/YYYY)
  • Doctor Name: The attending physician
  • Specialty: The doctor’s medical specialty
  • Contact: The doctor’s telephone number
  • Observations: Any notes from the appointment
If you haven’t had any appointments yet, you’ll see the message: “Você ainda não tem histórico de consultas” (You don’t have any consultation history yet).

Email Notifications

Med Agenda keeps you informed through automatic email notifications:

Appointment Confirmation

When you schedule a new appointment, the system:
  1. Sends a confirmation email to the address associated with your account
  2. Includes appointment details:
    • Date and time of your consultation
    • Doctor’s name and specialty
    • Clinic location (if applicable)
    • Any special instructions
Make sure your email address is correct in your profile to receive important notifications about your healthcare.

Email Best Practices

  • Always check your email after scheduling an appointment
  • Add the Med Agenda email address to your contacts to prevent messages from going to spam
  • Keep confirmation emails for your records

Tips for Patients

Before Your Appointment

  • Arrive 10-15 minutes early
  • Bring your ID and insurance card
  • Prepare a list of current medications
  • Write down questions for your doctor

Using the System

  • Log out after each session on shared computers
  • Keep your password secure
  • Update your medical history when it changes
  • Schedule appointments in advance when possible

Communication

  • Check your email regularly for appointment reminders
  • Use the observations field to communicate important information
  • Contact the clinic directly for urgent matters

Medical History

  • Review your appointment history periodically
  • Keep track of your consultations
  • Note any patterns in your health
  • Share relevant history with new doctors

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

Possible solutions:
  • Double-check that you’re using the correct email address
  • Verify your password (remember it’s case-sensitive)
  • Try clicking the eye icon to see your password as you type
  • If you’ve forgotten your password, contact the clinic administrator to reset it
Possible causes:
  • The clinic may not have added doctors to the system yet
  • There may be a temporary system issue
  • Contact your clinic administrator for assistance
Check the following:
  • History only shows past appointments (before today)
  • Future appointments won’t appear in history
  • Make sure the appointment date has passed
  • Verify you’re logged in with the correct account
Steps to resolve:
  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Verify your email address is correct in your profile
  • Wait a few minutes - emails may be delayed
  • Contact the clinic to confirm your appointment was created
For urgent medical issues, always call your clinic directly or seek emergency medical attention. Do not rely solely on the online system for urgent care.
