Your Odoo.com account is your central identity for accessing the Odoo platform. It links you to every database you create or are invited to join, controls authentication settings, and provides access to subscription and billing management. Understanding how your Odoo.com account interacts with your databases helps you avoid common issues with passwords, email addresses, and user access.

Connection & Security

Open the Connection & Security page on your Odoo.com portal to manage all authentication settings.
Update your Odoo.com account password directly from the Security page.
When you create a database, a user linked to your Odoo.com account is generated inside that database. Changing your Odoo.com password also changes the password used to sign in to that database user. You can set a database-specific password for that user by going to the database’s Settings. However, your Odoo.com account password will still work as an alternative.
Enable 2FA using an authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy) from the Security page. The process is similar to enabling 2FA for a standard database user.
Click Log out from all devices to invalidate all active sessions linked to your Odoo.com account, except for your current session.
To log out of the current session, click the user icon in the top-right corner and select Logout.
Enable developer mode from the Security page to unlock the ability to create a developer API key for programmatic access.
Delete your Odoo.com account from the Security page.
Deleting your Odoo.com account is irreversible. Once deleted, your account and all associated data cannot be retrieved.

Account Information

Open the Account Information page to edit your personal details, including your email address.
  • Changing your Odoo.com account email address does not change the email address used to sign in to your databases. Each database stores its own user email independently.
  • To update your sign-in email for a specific database, click your avatar in the top-right corner of that database and select My Preferences. You will still need to sign in using the email address used at the time the database was created.
  • To change the sign-in email for a database, contact Odoo Support.

Managing Databases

All databases linked to your Odoo.com account are visible in the database manager. This includes databases you created directly, as well as any databases you were invited to join using your Odoo.com account email address.

Subscriptions

To view and manage your active subscriptions, visit accounts.odoo.com/my/subscription.
If you are an Odoo partner, you can use your partnership code to initiate trial projects on Odoo.sh. Trial builds are limited to 1 GB storage and two staging environments. Once a client subscribes, they must use their own subscription code.
