Odoo is a comprehensive, open-source business management platform that brings every department of your company into a single, integrated environment. Rather than managing a patchwork of disconnected tools, Odoo provides purpose-built applications for accounting, sales, inventory, human resources, marketing, and much more — all sharing the same database, user interface, and workflow engine. Whether you run a small business or a large enterprise, Odoo scales to your needs through its modular architecture: install only the apps you need today and activate additional modules as your business grows.

Editions

Odoo is available in two editions, giving organizations the flexibility to choose the deployment model and feature set that best fits their requirements.

Community Edition

The free, open-source edition of Odoo. Ideal for organizations with technical resources who want full control over their deployment. Community includes the core application framework and a broad set of modules, hosted on-premise or on your own cloud infrastructure.

Enterprise Edition

A commercially licensed edition that extends Community with additional modules, advanced features (such as Studio, full accounting localisations, and mobile apps), SLA-backed support, and access to Odoo Online (SaaS) and Odoo.sh (PaaS) hosting. Pricing is per user, per month.
Adding a branch to a company, or managing multiple companies in one database, enables multi-company functions available in the Enterprise edition. See Odoo’s pricing page or contact your Odoo account manager for details.

Modular Application Architecture

Every functional area in Odoo is covered by a dedicated application module. Modules are installed from the Apps menu by an administrator and are immediately available to all users with the appropriate access rights. Because every module shares the same underlying data model, records flow seamlessly between apps — a confirmed sales order, for instance, automatically creates an invoice in Accounting and a delivery order in Inventory.
You can explore and install all available apps by navigating to the main Apps menu in your Odoo database. Use the search bar to filter by category (e.g., Finance, Sales, Human Resources).

Deployment Options

Odoo hosts and manages the database on its own infrastructure. No server setup is required. Updates are applied automatically, and backups are handled by Odoo. This is the fastest way to get started and is recommended for most businesses.
A developer-friendly cloud platform that gives your team full control over source code, branches, staging environments, and deployment pipelines, while Odoo manages the underlying infrastructure. Ideal for organizations that need custom development without managing servers.
Install and host Odoo on your own servers or private cloud. This option provides maximum control over data residency and infrastructure, but requires internal technical resources for installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
