Pacifica is a high-performance crypto perpetual and spot trading platform built on Solana. To start trading, you need a compatible wallet connected to Pacifica and USDC collateral deposited into your account. This guide walks you through every step — from installing a wallet to funding your account and placing your first trade.

Supported Wallets

Pacifica works with all major Solana-compatible wallets. You can connect an existing wallet or create a new one directly from the Pacifica interface.

Browser & Mobile Wallets

Phantom, Solflare, and Backpack are fully supported via browser extension (Chrome/Brave) or mobile app.

Hardware Wallets

Ledger hardware wallets are supported via browser extension. Connect your Ledger through your browser as normal and select it during the wallet connection flow.

WalletConnect

Any WalletConnect-compatible wallet can be used to connect to Pacifica, giving you flexibility across a wide range of mobile and desktop wallets.

Instant Wallet (Email / Google / X)

No wallet yet? Create one in seconds directly on Pacifica by signing in with your email address, Google account, or X (Twitter) account. For a self-custody wallet, Pacifica’s WalletGuide lists compatible options.

Geographic Restrictions

Pacifica is not available in certain jurisdictions. Users located in the United States, Cuba, Iran, Afghanistan, Syria, or North Korea are restricted from accessing the platform.

Create an Account and Connect Your Wallet

The steps below use Phantom as the example wallet. The flow is identical for Solflare, Backpack, and other supported wallets — just substitute the wallet name where relevant.
1

Install a Wallet

Visit phantom.com and install the browser extension for Chrome or Brave, or download the mobile app for iOS or Android. Follow the in-app prompts to create a new wallet and save your recovery phrase somewhere safe — Pacifica cannot recover it for you.If you prefer a different wallet, visit the respective site for Solflare (solflare.com) or Backpack (backpack.app).
2

Add USDC and SOL to Your Wallet

Send USDC and a small amount of SOL from a centralised exchange or another wallet to your new Solana address. USDC is used as trading collateral. SOL is required to pay Solana network transaction fees — without it, on-chain transactions (including deposits) will fail.Confirm both balances are visible inside your wallet before proceeding.
3

Connect to Pacifica

Navigate to pacifica.fi and click Connect Wallet in the top-right corner. Select your wallet from the list and approve the connection request inside the wallet extension or app. You will be prompted to sign a message to verify ownership of the wallet address — this does not cost gas.
4

Create Your Pacifica Account

On your first connection, Pacifica automatically creates a trading account linked to your wallet address. No personal information is required. Your account is ready to receive deposits immediately after the connection is confirmed. If you signed in with Email, Google, or X instead, an embedded wallet is created for you automatically and linked to your login.
5

Deposit Collateral

Click Deposit in the navigation or portfolio panel, enter an amount of USDC (minimum $10), and confirm the transaction in your wallet. Funds are sent to Pacifica’s audited bridge contract and credited to your account after on-chain confirmation.
Pacifica only accepts USDC on the Solana network. Deposits sent via any other network (e.g., Ethereum, Arbitrum) or in any other token (e.g., USDT, SOL) will not be credited to your account.
See Deposits & Withdrawals for full details on fees, limits, and the withdrawal flow.

Try Testnet First

If you are new to perpetual trading or want to test a strategy before using real funds, Pacifica has a dedicated testnet environment. The testnet mirrors mainnet functionality and lets you trade with simulated balances at no cost.
The testnet is accessible at the same URL using a testnet wallet funded with test tokens. It is a great way to get comfortable with order types, margin mechanics, and the trading interface before going live.

Next Steps

Once your account is funded, you are ready to trade.
