Understanding student performance

When you enter grades, you’re contributing to each student’s overall academic record:

How grades are calculated

  • Each student’s general average is calculated by averaging all their course grades
  • Students can view their grades on their dashboard and bulletin
  • The bulletin shows grades from all teachers, not just your courses
  • Students need a general average of 10/20 or higher to pass

Bulletin access

While you enter grades for individual courses:
  • Administrators can view complete student bulletins showing all subjects
  • Students can view their own bulletins including your grades
  • Bulletins include the overall status (VALIDÉ or NON VALIDÉ)
  • Bulletins can be printed for official records

Best practices

  1. Review enrollments - Check the student list matches your class roster
  2. Enter grades systematically - Work through students in a consistent order
  3. Double-check accuracy - Verify grade values before saving
  4. Save frequently - Save each grade as you enter it
  5. Verify updates - Confirm the saved grade displays correctly
  • Check your timetable at the start of each week
  • Note any back-to-back classes requiring preparation
  • Plan grade entry sessions during free periods
  • Set aside time for grade review before term end
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Log out when using shared computers
  • Never share your password with students or colleagues
  • Report any unauthorized access to your administrator
  • Only access grade information for your assigned courses
  • Maintain confidentiality of student performance data
  • Direct grade inquiries from students appropriately
  • Follow school policy for grade discussions
