Create your account
Sign in to Avelero
Navigate to the login page where you’ll see two authentication options:
- Google Sign-in: Click the Google button to authenticate with your Google account
- Email (OTP): Enter your email address to receive a one-time password
Complete your profile
After signing in, you’ll be directed to the account setup page where you need to:
- Add your full name (required)
- Upload an avatar (optional) - Click on the avatar circle to select an image
Your profile information helps team members identify you when collaborating on products.
Create your first brand
Next, you’ll set up your brand:
- Brand name: Enter your company or brand name (e.g., “Acme Inc.”)
- Country: Select the country where your brand operates
If you’ve been invited to an existing brand, you’ll see your pending invitations instead and can join an existing workspace.
Understanding the dashboard
Once your brand is created, you’ll be directed to the main dashboard where you can manage all your Digital Product Passports.Main navigation areas
The Avelero interface is organized into several key sections: Passports - Your main workspace for creating and managing product passports. This is where you’ll spend most of your time. Theme - Customize the look and feel of your Digital Product Passports with brand colors and styling. Settings - Configure your brand settings, custom domain, team members, and catalog data. Account - Manage your personal profile and switch between brands.Sidebar navigation
The sidebar provides quick access to:- Passports: View and search all your product passports
- Settings sections:
- Attributes: Define product characteristics like color, size, material
- Materials: Manage your materials catalog with country of origin
- Manufacturers: Track your manufacturing partners
- Operators: Manage facilities in your supply chain
- Certifications: Add sustainability certifications
- Seasons: Organize products by collection or season
- Tags: Create custom labels for organization
- Members: Invite team members to collaborate
- Integrations: Connect external platforms
Your first actions
Now that you’re familiar with the interface, here are the recommended next steps:Set up your brand identity
Go to Settings to:
- Upload your brand logo
- Configure your brand slug (used in passport URLs)
- Add a contact email
- Set up a custom domain (optional, required for GS1-compliant QR codes)
Prepare your catalog
Before creating products, set up your catalog data in Settings:
- Add materials you commonly use (e.g., “Organic Cotton”, “Recycled Polyester”)
- Create attributes for your product variants (e.g., Color, Size)
- Add any relevant tags or seasons for organization
Setting up your catalog first will make product creation much faster, as you can select from predefined options rather than creating everything from scratch.
