A vehicle inspection records the current condition of your assigned vehicle and triggers a PDF report that is automatically emailed to the fleet administrator.

Prerequisites

Before you can submit an inspection, two conditions must be met:
  • You must have an active vehicle assignment. If the Assigned Vehicle screen shows “No hay vehiculo asignado,” contact your administrator.
  • The vehicle’s mandatory maintenance must not be overdue. If mandatory maintenance requires attention, the server will block the inspection until maintenance is completed.
If mandatory maintenance is overdue, tapping Guardar inspeccion y enviar reporte will return a 409 error and the inspection will not be saved. Complete the mandatory maintenance first — see Viewing and completing maintenance for instructions.

Starting an inspection

From the Assigned Vehicle screen, tap Crear inspeccion. The Inspection screen opens with the vehicle’s make, model, and license plate shown in the header.

Filling out the form

Vehicle ID

The vehicle ID is passed automatically from your assignment. You do not need to enter it manually.

Mileage

Enter the vehicle’s current odometer reading. This field is required and must be a whole number (no decimals or letters). The unit (km or mi) is determined by the vehicle’s odometer configuration.

Internal damages

Describe any damage visible inside the vehicle cabin. This field is optional — leave it blank if there are no internal issues to report.

External damages

Describe any damage visible on the vehicle’s exterior. This field is optional.

Next maintenance date

Tap the date field or Calendario to open the calendar picker and select the recommended next maintenance date. This field is optional.
The calendar only allows dates from up to 7 days in the past through today and beyond. Dates older than 7 days are greyed out and cannot be selected. The date is displayed as DD-MM-YYYY on screen.

Photos

Four photos are required before you can submit. Each must be captured or selected individually:

Front

Front-facing view of the vehicle.

Rear

Rear-facing view of the vehicle.

Left

Left side of the vehicle.

Right

Right side of the vehicle.
For each position, tap Capturar [position] to take a photo with the camera or choose an existing image. A thumbnail preview appears once the photo is captured. All four photos must be provided — missing any one of them will prevent submission.

Submitting the inspection

Once all required fields are complete, tap Guardar inspeccion y enviar reporte.
1

Data is uploaded

The form data and photos are sent to the server as multipart/form-data.
2

PDF report is generated

The server generates a PDF report containing the inspection details, vehicle information, damage notes, and references to the uploaded photos.
3

Email is sent

The PDF is emailed to the fleet administrator associated with the vehicle’s fleet.
4

Confirmation is shown

You receive a confirmation alert with the message “Inspeccion guardada y reporte enviado.” Tap OK to return to the Assigned Vehicle screen.
The confirmation also records the inspection ID and the URL of the generated PDF on the server.

When mandatory maintenance is overdue

If the vehicle’s mandatory maintenance requires attention at the time you submit, the server responds with a 409 Conflict error:
El vehiculo requiere mantenimiento obligatorio antes de permitir la inspeccion.
The inspection is not saved. You must complete the mandatory maintenance and then retry the inspection. See Viewing and completing maintenance for the steps to record a maintenance completion from the mobile app.
