Keeping your photos organized makes it easy to find what you need and enjoy your collection. Galey Cloud provides a simple but powerful album system to help you organize your photos.

Understanding Albums

Albums in Galey Cloud are containers for grouping related photos. Think of them as folders or collections:
  • Each photo can belong to one album or no album at all
  • Albums appear in the left sidebar for easy access
  • Photos without an album are shown in “Todas las fotos” (All Photos)
  • Deleting an album doesn’t delete the photos inside it

Creating Albums

Create new albums to organize your photos:
1

Open Album Creation

Click the “Nuevo album” (New Album) button at the bottom of the left sidebar.
2

Enter Album Name

Type a descriptive name for your album in the text field that appears.Examples:
  • “Vacation 2025”
  • “Family Photos”
  • “Work Events”
  • “Nature Photography”
3

Create the Album

Press Enter or click the “Crear” (Create) button to create the album. The new album will immediately appear in your sidebar.
Album names are required and cannot be empty. Leading and trailing spaces are automatically removed.

Canceling Album Creation

If you change your mind while creating an album:
  1. Click the “Cancelar” (Cancel) button
  2. Or simply click outside the creation area
The input field will close without creating an album.

Naming Albums

Choose clear, descriptive names for your albums:

Good Album Names

What Happens to Photos When You Delete an Album?

Deleting an album does NOT delete the photos inside it.
When you delete an album:
  • The album is permanently removed from your sidebar
  • All photos in that album are moved to “All Photos”
  • Photos remain fully accessible and unchanged
  • Photo upload dates and other metadata are preserved
This safety feature ensures you never accidentally lose photos. Only the organizational container (album) is deleted, not the content.

Album Structure and Navigation

The left sidebar shows your album structure:
