Interface settings let you tailor the mods list to show exactly the information you want, in the format that works best for you. Open the Settings tab to access these options.

Column visibility

You can show or hide each column in the mods list independently. All four columns are shown by default.

Mod name

The primary identifier for a mod. Always recommended to keep visible.

Character

The Brown Dust 2 character the mod targets. Hide this if you only install mods for one character.

Mod type

The category of the mod (standing, cutscene, dating, etc.). Hide this to simplify the list.

Author

The mod creator’s name. Hide this if you don’t use author information to organize mods.

Mod name display

Controls how the mod name is shown in the Mod name column.
OptionWhat you see
Name onlyThe mod’s display name, e.g. Summer Costume
With subfoldersThe relative subfolder path prepended to the name, e.g. Noxia/Summer Costume
Use With subfolders if you organize your staging directory into character subfolders and want to see that structure reflected in the list.

Character column display

Choose how the Character column presents character information.
Shows the character’s portrait thumbnail. Compact — useful when you’re familiar with each character’s icon.

Mod type column display

Choose how the Mod type column presents category information.
Shows a small icon representing the mod type. Compact.

Color coding for mod types

When enabled, each row in the mods list is tinted according to its mod type, making it easy to visually group mods at a glance.
Color coding is optional and off by default. Enable it in Settings if you manage a large number of mods across many categories.
