Submitting a template
You must be a member of the discord.place Discord server before you can submit a template.
Create the template in Discord
In your Discord server settings, go to Server Template and click Generate a Template. Discord creates a snapshot of your server’s structure and gives you a template URL in the format
discord.new/XXXXXXXXXXXX.Copy the template code
The template code is the 12-character string at the end of the URL. Copy it — you will need it during submission.
Go to the submission page
Navigate to discord.place/templates and click Submit Template.
Fill in the details
Provide the following:
- Template ID — the 12-character code from your template URL
- Name — a display name for your template (up to 32 characters)
- Description — what the template is for and what kind of server it suits (32–256 characters)
- Categories — up to 3 categories that describe the template
discord.place fetches the template’s channel and role data directly from Discord using the template ID you provide. Make sure the template is still active and has not been deleted from your server.
