Tour Form Fields

Basic Information

Título del recorrido (Tour Title)
  • Create a compelling, descriptive title
  • Keep it concise but informative
  • Example: “Comida callejera y cultura” or “Historic Center Photo Tour”
  • This is what tourists see first - make it engaging!
Good tour titles include the experience type and a unique angle. “Hidden Street Food Gems” is more engaging than “Food Tour.”
Descripción (Description)
  • Write 2-4 paragraphs describing the experience
  • What will tourists see, do, and learn?
  • What makes this tour special or unique?
  • Include what tourists should expect
Be honest and specific in your description. Setting accurate expectations leads to better reviews.

Pricing and Logistics

Precio (MXN) (Price in Mexican Pesos)
  • Set your price per person
  • Consider your time, expertise, and included items
  • Research similar tours for competitive pricing
  • Minimum: Free (0 MXN)
  • Suggested increments: 50 MXN
Categoría (Category) Select or enter a category that best describes your tour:
  • Gastronomía - Food and culinary experiences
  • Arqueología - Archaeological sites and history
  • Arquitectura - Architectural tours
  • Arte y Cultura - Art galleries, museums, cultural sites
  • Tradicional - Traditional practices and customs
  • Arte Urbano - Street art and urban culture
  • Entretenimiento - Entertainment and nightlife
  • Vida Nocturna - Evening and nightlife experiences
  • Naturaleza e Historia - Nature walks with historical context
Choose the category that tourists are most likely to search for. If your tour spans multiple categories, pick the primary focus.
Duración (horas) (Duration in hours)
  • How long does the tour last?
  • Be realistic - include time for breaks
  • Minimum: 1 hour
  • Maximum: 12 hours
  • Use decimals if needed (e.g., 2.5 for two and a half hours)
Tamaño máximo del grupo (Maximum Group Size)
  • How many tourists can you comfortably guide?
  • Consider:
    • Your ability to interact with everyone
    • Venue capacity constraints
    • Quality of experience
  • Minimum: 1 person (private tours)
  • Maximum: 50 people

Meeting Details

Punto de encuentro (Meeting Point)
  • Specify exactly where tourists should meet you
  • Include:
    • Landmark or business name
    • Full address
    • Helpful identifying details
  • Example: “Mercado de Coyoacán, entrance near Jardín Centenario”
Choose meeting points that are:
  • Easy to find with GPS
  • Well-known landmarks when possible
  • Safe and accessible
  • Available for public meeting

Inclusions

Elementos incluidos (What’s Included)
  • List everything included in the tour price
  • Separate items with commas
  • Examples:
    • “Degustación de comida, guía experto, transporte”
    • “Entry tickets, water bottles, historical guidebook”
    • “Photography, local snacks, hotel pickup”
Common inclusions to consider:
  • Food or drink tastings
  • Transportation
  • Entry/admission fees
  • Equipment rental
  • Photography services
  • Printed materials or maps
  • Souvenirs or gifts
Be explicit about what’s NOT included if there might be confusion. For example: “Lunch not included” or “Additional drinks at own expense.”

Tour Status

Estado del recorrido (Tour Status) Choose the appropriate status for your tour:
  • Borrador (Draft) - Tour is still being created or refined. Not visible to tourists.
  • Pendiente de revisión (Pending Review) - Submitted for platform review. Not yet visible.
  • Activo (Active) - Live and bookable by tourists.
1

  3. Click the tour card to open the edit modal

Tour Images

While not set in the initial form, tour images are crucial:
  • Upload high-quality photos of the experience
  • Show actual locations, activities, or moments from tours
  • Use original photos when possible
  • Minimum recommended: 3-5 photos per tour
  • Landscape orientation works best

  1. Navigate to Calendario de Disponibilidad
  2. Select dates when you can offer this tour
  3. Block dates when unavailable
  4. See booking conflicts at a glance

Tour Creation Best Practices

Write Compelling Descriptions

  • Start with the most exciting aspect
  • Use sensory language (sights, sounds, tastes)
  • Tell a story rather than listing facts
  • Address tourist concerns (safety, difficulty, accessibility)

Price Competitively

Consider these factors:
  • Your experience level and credentials
  • Duration and inclusions
  • Market rates for similar tours
  • Your costs (transportation, entry fees, food)
  • Value you provide beyond the basics

Be Specific About Logistics

  • Exact meeting points with landmarks
  • What to bring or wear
  • Physical difficulty level
  • Weather contingency plans

Highlight What Makes You Unique

  • Special access or insider knowledge
  • Unique perspective or expertise
  • Personal connections to the area
  • Skills that enhance the experience
Tourists book guides for authentic local perspectives. Emphasize your personal connection to the places and stories you share.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Vague descriptions - Be specific about what tourists will experience
  • Unrealistic timing - Allow buffer time; don’t rush the experience
  • Missing important details - Include meeting points, what to bring, accessibility info
  • Poor pricing - Too high scares away bookings; too low devalues your expertise
  • Incomplete information - Fill out all fields for better search visibility
