Kin Conecta connects you with verified local guides who offer authentic, personalized experiences. This guide will help you make the most of the platform.

Getting Started

Create Your Account

Navigate to the registration page and select Turista as your account type. You’ll need to provide:
  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Country code and phone number
  • Email address
  • Password (minimum 8 characters)
You must be 18 or older to create an account on Kin Conecta.

Complete Your Profile

After registration, you’ll be guided through a profile wizard to personalize your experience. This helps guides understand your interests and preferences.

Verify Your Email

Check your inbox for a verification email to activate your account and access all features.

Exploring Experiences

The Explorar page is your gateway to discovering amazing local experiences.
  • Use the search bar at the top to search by destination, guide name, or activity type
  • Click the Buscar button to execute your search
  • Browse through experience cards showing tour titles, locations, ratings, and prices

Filter by Category

Use the filter buttons to narrow down experiences:
  • Todos - View all available experiences
  • Gastronomía - Food tours and culinary experiences
  • Aventura - Outdoor and adventure activities
  • Historia - Historical tours and cultural heritage
  • Cultura - Art, traditions, and cultural immersion
Click on any category filter to instantly see relevant experiences. The active filter is highlighted for easy reference.

Understanding Experience Cards

Each experience card displays:
  • Tour title and description
  • Location with a location pin icon
  • Category tags showing tour themes
  • Star rating from previous tourists
  • Price per person in MXN
  • High-quality photo of the experience

Managing Favorites

Save experiences you’re interested in for later review.

Adding to Favorites

  1. Click the heart icon on any experience card while browsing
  2. The experience is instantly saved to your Favoritos page
  3. You can favorite both guides and specific experiences

Viewing Your Favorites

Navigate to Favoritos from the sidebar to access your saved items:
  • Switch between Guías and Experiencias tabs
  • Each tab shows a count of saved items
  • Use the search bar to quickly find specific favorites
  • Remove items by clicking the heart icon again
Your favorites are private and only visible to you. Save as many as you like to build your dream itinerary!

Managing Your Trips

The Mis viajes page helps you track all your bookings in one place.

Upcoming Trips

Your next confirmed booking is featured prominently with:
  • Tour title and featured image
  • Location and date
  • Guide information with profile photo
  • Quick action buttons:
    • Ver detalles - View full booking details
    • Contactar guía - Open chat with your guide

Trip History

Below your featured trip, you’ll find your complete booking history including:
  • Past completed tours
  • Upcoming bookings
  • Cancelled reservations
Each trip shows the tour name, date, guide, and current status.

Your Profile

Access your profile from the sidebar to:
  • View and edit your personal information
  • Update your profile photo
  • Manage your contact preferences
  • Review your booking history
  • See reviews you’ve written

Access Profile Settings

Click Tu perfil in the sidebar, then click Actualizar información

Update Information

Edit your name, contact details, or preferences as needed

Save Changes

Click the save button to update your profile

Notifications

Stay informed about your bookings and messages:
  • Click the bell icon in the top-right corner to view notifications
  • A red dot indicates unread notifications
  • Notifications include booking confirmations, guide messages, and trip reminders
Enable browser notifications to receive real-time updates about your tours and messages from guides.

Safety and Support

Verified Guides

Look for the verified badge on guide profiles, which indicates:
  • Identity verification completed
  • Background check passed
  • Required certifications uploaded

If you need assistance:
  1. Navigate to Ayuda in the sidebar
  2. Browse frequently asked questions
  3. Contact support directly through the help center
  4. Use the chat widget to message guides with questions
