  • Sign in or create an account - Most tests require authentication to track your identity and progress
  • Verify your identity - Some tests may ask you to confirm your profile information

Test Access Restrictions

Depending on how your instructor configured the test, you may encounter certain access requirements:

Password Protection

Some tests are password-protected for added security:
  • You’ll be prompted to enter a password after accessing the test
  • Your instructor will provide the password separately
  • The password is validated before you can start the test
Make sure you have the correct password from your instructor before attempting to access a password-protected test.

Private Tests

Private tests restrict access to specific participants:
  • Your email must be on the participant list, or you must belong to an authorized group
  • If you’re not authorized, you’ll see an error message
  • Contact your instructor if you believe you should have access

Email Domain Restrictions

Some tests only allow users from specific email domains:
  • For example, only users with @university.edu emails may access the test
  • You must sign in with an email from an allowed domain

IP Address Restrictions

Certain tests may restrict access to specific locations:
  • You must be on campus or connected to a specific network
  • If your IP address is not authorized, you’ll receive an error
  • Contact your instructor if you’re having trouble accessing the test from the expected location

Tests may be scheduled to open and close at specific times:

Scheduled Start Time

  • Return at the scheduled time to begin the test

Scheduled End Time

  • Tests automatically close at the scheduled end time
  • You won’t be able to start or continue the test after it closes
  • Make sure to complete the test before the deadline
