Question Features

Flagging Questions

If you want to return to a question later:
  • Click the flag icon on any question
  • Flagged questions are highlighted in the progress bar
  • You can unflag a question by clicking the flag icon again
Use flags to mark questions you want to review before submitting the test.
Move through the test using:
  • Previous/Next buttons at the bottom of each question
  • Question number buttons in a navigation panel (if available)
  • Scroll through the page if all questions are displayed at once

Question Numbering

Questions are numbered sequentially to help you track your progress.
Note: If the instructor enabled question randomization, you may see questions in a different order than other test-takers. This doesn’t affect your score.

Progress Tracking

At the bottom of the test interface, you’ll see:
  • Answered questions count (e.g., “12/20 answered”)
  • Flagged questions count (e.g., “3 flagged”)
  • Time remaining (if timed)
  • Progress bar showing completion percentage

Progress Bar Colors

  • Green: Answered questions
  • Amber/Yellow: Flagged questions
  • Gray: Unanswered questions

Timer and Duration

If your test is timed, you’ll see a countdown timer:
  • The timer appears in the navigation bar
  • It shows hours, minutes, and seconds remaining
  • The timer continues even if you navigate away from the page (the test stays open in your browser)
When time expires:
  • The test automatically submits
  • You cannot make any changes after submission
  • Make sure to keep an eye on the timer and manage your time wisely

Section Duration

For tests with multiple sections:
  • Each section may have its own time limit
  • The timer resets when you move to a new section
  • Section duration is independent of the overall test time

Test Paused

If the instructor pauses the test:
  • You’ll see a pause overlay with a message
  • Your progress is automatically saved
  • You cannot make changes until the test is resumed
  • Wait for the instructor to resume the test
Don’t close your browser if the test is paused. Your session will remain active, and you can continue as soon as the test resumes.

Auto-Save

Your answers are automatically saved:
  • Text answers: Saved as you type (with a short delay)
  • Multiple choice/selections: Saved immediately when selected
  • Media uploads: Saved when upload completes
You don’t need to manually save your work.

Browser Navigation Warning

If you try to leave the test page (by closing the tab or navigating away):
  • You’ll see a warning asking you to confirm
  • This prevents accidental data loss
  • Your progress is saved even if you navigate away
Avoid refreshing the page or closing the browser during the test. While your answers are saved, you may lose your place or cause timing issues.
