The LBMUN I schedule is currently being finalized. The full day-of agenda, including exact session start times and room assignments, will be published here as soon as it is confirmed. Check back for updates.

Typical MUN Conference Day

While the specific LBMUN I timetable is still being developed, Model UN conferences generally follow a well-established structure. Here is what a typical conference day looks like so delegates can plan accordingly: Opening Ceremony & Roll Call — The conference begins with a formal opening ceremony where the Secretary-General and other members of the Secretariat address all delegates. Each committee then convenes for roll call to establish quorum and determine the speakers list structure for the day. Morning Committee Sessions — The first formal committee sessions of the day take place in the morning block. Delegates deliver opening speeches, establish the agenda, and begin the first rounds of moderated and unmoderated caucus. Working paper coalitions typically begin to form during this block. Lunch Break & Unmoderated Caucus Time — A mid-day break gives delegates time to eat, rest, and continue informal negotiations. Many of the most productive coalition conversations happen during this time, as delegates are free to move between groups without the structure of formal debate. Afternoon Committee Sessions — Debate continues in the afternoon with a focus on merging working papers, finalizing resolution language, and preparing for the voting procedure. Resolution Presentations & Voting Bloc — Sponsors of draft resolutions present their documents to the full committee before the voting bloc begins. Delegates may deliver speeches in favor of or against each resolution before the committee votes. Resolutions that pass become the committee’s official recommendations. Awards Ceremony & Closing — The conference closes with a full assembly where the Secretariat presents delegate awards, recognizing outstanding performance in research, diplomacy, and leadership across all committees. The Secretary-General delivers closing remarks to conclude LBMUN I.
All LBMUN I sessions are held at Lake Braddock Secondary School, located at 9200 Burke Lake Rd, Burke, VA 22015.
