The Entrenador de Carambola Guiada includes a persistent scoreboard that sits in the top-right corner of the HUD and remains visible at all times during practice. It gives you an honest count of your performance with three independent counters, plus a reset button that wipes them clean without disturbing the ball positions.

Scoreboard Counters

The scoreboard section (<section class="scoreboard" aria-label="Marcador">) displays three counters side by side:

Puntos (Points)

Increments by one each time a valid carom is scored. A carom is valid when:
  1. The cue ball contacts 3 or more cushions in total during the shot
  2. The cue ball then successfully contacts the second object ball
Both conditions must be satisfied in a single shot. Touching 3 cushions but missing the second ball does not score a point.

Intentos (Attempts)

Increments every time Tirar is pressed, regardless of whether the shot was successful. This is your raw attempt counter and the denominator for calculating your success rate.

Bandas (Cushions)

Shows the cushion count of the most recent shot. It is updated as the shot resolves and persists through Ver replay — the value does not reset when you watch the replay animation. It resets to 0 when a new shot begins.

Resetting the Scoreboard

The Reiniciar button sits directly below the three counters in the scoreboard section. Pressing it sets Puntos, Intentos, and Bandas back to 0 instantly — without moving any ball, without changing the selected play, and without interrupting a session. In Full-Screen mobile mode, the main HUD is hidden to maximise the table area. Access Reiniciar via the Opciones modal (the ☰ Opciones button at the top of the screen), where it appears as Reiniciar marcador.

What Does Not Affect the Scoreboard

The following actions are completely neutral with respect to all three counters:
ActionPointsAttemptsCushions
Demostración
Ver replay
Repetir tiro
Ubicar bolas
Nueva posición
Modo libre (switching)
Only Tirar increments Intentos, and only a valid carom via Tirar increments Puntos.

Scoreboard Across Practice Modes

The scoreboard works identically in Practice Mode (a play selected) and in Modo libre (free practice with custom ball positions). A carom scored in Modo libre increments Puntos and Intentos exactly as it would in a named play, provided the 3-cushion + second-ball condition is satisfied. The counters are session-persistent — they accumulate across all plays and positions within a session. Use Reiniciar to start a fresh count when switching focus (for example, moving from general warm-up to targeted drilling of a specific play).
Use the Puntos ÷ Intentos ratio as your primary performance metric for a play. A ratio above 50% indicates solid, repeatable technique. If you are below 20% after 20 attempts, consider watching the Demostración again and checking whether your power or effect setting matches the reference — small systematic errors at those inputs compound into large trajectory errors by the third cushion.
