Practice Mode is the core learning environment of the Entrenador de Carambola Guiada. When you select a play from the Selecciona la carambola dropdown, the app immediately loads the calibrated ball positions for that play, draws the master route on the table, and activates the magnetic aim assist — giving you a complete guided training loop for each of the 148 available three-cushion plays (001–079 and 081–149).

How Practice Mode Works

Selecting a Play

Choose a play number from the Selecciona la carambola dropdown at the top of the screen. The moment you make a selection:
  • The three balls (white, yellow, red) are placed at the calibrated starting positions for that play.
  • The master route appears on the table as a persistent green luminous band with a yellow dashed line overlaid on top. Both the green band and the yellow line trace the exact same master path — they are not two separate calculations.
  • The power resets to 5%, so you must judge and manually set the required shot strength before shooting.
  • The Demostración button becomes available for that play.

The Master Route

The master route is extracted directly from the reference image (recorrido_guia.webp) for each play. It remains permanently visible on the table, even while the balls are rolling and even after you shoot — it serves as a continuous reference for study and comparison. If you manually change the cue direction, power, effect, or ball positions, the green band hides itself, leaving only the free physics predictive guide. This signals that you have moved away from the master trajectory and the shot will use real physics from your current aim.

Magnetic Aim Assist

When your predictive aim guide gets close enough to the master route — matching direction, position, and ball alignment — the yellow line snaps onto the route. This is the magnetic assist. If you then press Tirar, the app applies a gentle physical correction to your shot (adjusting exit angle, power, and effect) so that the ball follows the master trajectory using the real physics engine. The magnetic assist disengages immediately if you:
  • Manually move the cue handle
  • Change the power
  • Adjust the effect dot
  • Reposition any ball
Once disengaged, the shot fires with your own current free-physics aim.

Neon Illumination

The shot guide illuminates with a neon cyan/violet flash when the predictive guide anticipates a carambola of 3 or more cushions. In Practice Mode, illumination also fires when your predictive guide coincides or nearly coincides with the master route. The illumination is predictive — it appears before you shoot, not as a celebration after the fact.

Scoreboard

The built-in scoreboard tracks three counters across your entire session:
CounterLabelWhat it tracks
PuntosPointsValid carambolas (white ball hits 3+ cushions then the second object ball)
IntentosAttemptsEvery press of Tirar
BandasCushionsTotal cushions accumulated across all shots
Only Tirar adds to the scoreboard. Demostración does not count as an attempt or score.

1

Select a play

Choose a play number from the Selecciona la carambola dropdown. The master route and calibrated ball positions appear immediately.
2

Watch the Videotutorial

Click Videotutorial to open the reference video, which jumps directly to the position and route segments of the selected play.
3

Study the Demostración

Click Demostración to watch the master trajectory animate on the table. Use this to memorize the cushion contact points and the final arrival at the second object ball.
4

Aim your cue, set effect and power

Drag the cue handle to aim. Drag the blue effect dot on the cue ball image to set your spin. Pull the cue back to increase power beyond the initial 5%.
5

Press Tirar

Fire the real physics shot. Check whether you scored a valid carambola (3+ cushions). The scoreboard updates immediately.
6

Repeat with Repetir tiro

Press Repetir tiro to restore the balls to their pre-shot positions and try again without having to reload the play.
Start every training session with Demostración before picking up the cue. Watching the full master route — cushion by cushion — primes your spatial memory for the correct trajectory and makes it much easier to recognize when the magnetic assist has locked on.
Play 080 is disabled. The reference images (posicion_inicial_080.webp, recorrido_guia_080.webp, and guia_referencia_080.png) do not exist for this play. The dropdown shows play 080 as an unavailable option so the numbering sequence is clear — it is not a gap or an error.
