Wordgrid is a browser-based word puzzle game. Each cell on the 3x3 grid sits at the intersection of a row category and a column category — your job is to find a word that satisfies both. Score points based on how rare and complex your answers are, then compare your results against the optimal board.

Open Wordgrid

Navigate to the Wordgrid site in your browser. The board loads automatically in Daily mode with today’s puzzle.

Read the categories

Look at the three row labels on the left and the three column labels across the top. Each cell needs a word that satisfies both its row and column category simultaneously.

Click a cell and guess

Click any cell with a ? to open the guess dialog. Type a word and press Guess. If your word meets both categories and exists in the word list, it is accepted and scored.

Complete the board

Fill all nine cells to finish the puzzle and earn a 500-point completion bonus. You can then submit your score to the daily leaderboard and review a full board analysis.
Daily puzzles reset at midnight local time. Your progress is saved automatically in your browser so you can return and continue where you left off.
